Haha, let's say, a yellow light.

I think yellow is good for optimal equipment,im more used to it, i think the current colours in development are the same used in DAOC (Dark Age of Camelot) game that i played and Yoshida too, maybe he thought in these colours because daoc :)

I thought I'd seen another game use a system like this.

Yeah Dark Age Of Camelot did the same thing.

Green would seem the logical color for it. (^_^ )

Green of course! Just think of when you are 50 and equip a lv50 equip... that has a YELLOW level. Yellow more than otimal level, seems to resemble "hey, you just got out of your optimal level range"

If I may, I'm red green colour blind. I'm all for red and green to show the two different ranks, but its be nice if you could make them fairly obviously different. I've noticed most of the colours in the game are somewhat muted.

Just throwing that out there!

Voting for green too. Yellow look more like a warning.
