I don't blame people for needlessly running in and tagging a hunt though. I have noticed on fates like Savara if I do get initial claim and go afk, I can still get gold. Perhaps they should look into this for hunts.

If its pulled before you arrive. It's not pulled early. Your late.
Sorry, but I have to share this... totally reminds me of this entire debate, LOL.

It reminds me more of this: http://goo.gl/IFT9IE
here my thing, its nice if someone finds a A ranked mark and waits for a little BUT there not obligated to wait. so there s two option here, A piss and moan that you didn't make it or B hook up with alot of linkshells and be there as soon as its called or right as the window opens.
TL;DR the entire thread, but as someone stated earlier, participating in the hunts now is only gonna get you stressed out and irritated with the abundance of d-bags and trolls. Might I suggest just working with gaining allied seals from weekly hunt marks and daily marks. The daily marks should total up to about 50-60 seals. It's not as much as the amount as "A" and "S" ranks give in a day, but at least you have your sanity and avoid a-holes.
For the others who are currently in hunts, early pulling should only be considered bad if someone pulls early once they arrive and that puller is not the one who found the hunt. Sometimes the person who found the hunt pulls when he/she feels there's enough people to take out the mark. I was in a party where we pulled when there was enough because one of our members can't get a hit in when there's even a quarter of the server present. There's a lot of grey areas on what's considered okay and what's not. Either way, it's best to steer clear of it, unless you are really good at finding marks or you're a masochist and like the stress.
Sadly part of the daily involves waiting around for fates for a measly few seals. I REALLY wish they'd switch the daily and weekly and adjust the rewards accordingly. Finding a B rank (which is always up now) is no big deal and something I wouldn't mind on a daily basis. It would also make the B rank achievements something that might happen. Waiting around for FATES is bad enough when it's part of Animus, but doing on a daily basis is a waste of time. Once a week for FATE hunts is enough.
I also wish the *big* fate monsters would drop seals too. Too often Cancer, Gorgimera and that boss on "the eyes have it" just sit around with not enough people to bother killing them. If they gave out some reasonable amount of seals, it would help out characters leveling in that area.
That's a good one too... man, that Bill Gates was a D-bag!Quote:
Biggest difference is that nobody has to worry about "stealing" hunt loot first, because the reward expands to the number of people who are able to be there at the point it's claimed. Other than that, Bill Gates in that vid totally captures the early puller mentality.
I agree with the OP, name shaming in shout due to "early pulling" of hunts is childish and malicious. There is absolutely no circumstance that would make this ok in my opinion, act your age and be the bigger person.
Odds are if you are late to the hunt then you weren't even hunting, you were doing something else while other people do the work and responded to a shout or a callout in LS chat. Even if you were hunting, you didn't find the monster first and nobody is obligated to wait for you or your outdated hardware (looking at you ps3).
To be honest, people are lucky that there are shouts or LS callouts to begin with, be happy with what you get and stop taking it for granted, you are not entitled to every single hunt you happen to respond to a shout for and if you don't make it on time it's nobodies fault but your own in my opinion.
