I wonder how many FCs who had regular statics for 1-5 are now taking turns running individual members lagging behind in content through turn 5.

i'm still amazed by the inaction of SE, since often the mercenary are helping RMT, the one that buy this carry time to time use RMT for be able to pay this person.

it's totally different, crafting an item don't allows you to rush content. here this "activity" is not very different than cheating.

Btw, its not like they are all incompetent. Some people are simply stuck in certain content and can't progress because you need to find a party that can do stuff.
Personal example here: I main sch and i am stuck on titan X. Never got passed the first superbomb (all bombs on the platforms) because the DPS was too low or DPS died cause of stupid shit like way of the land. I can become the sch god himself and i still won't be able to progress since guess what, the fault is not on me here.
If i had the money yes i would pay, not for a clear exactly but for competent people that know what the fuck they are doing and stop dieing to stupid crap.

Make your own Titan EX party. Say 2 strike rule, including self. The including self part is important because it tells people you aren't simply looking for a free carry, and is a lot more likely to attract other skilled players that lack statics or their friends aren't online. I made one myself and that got me my first win first try. I join parties like that and they usually win in a few tries, with barely anyone being kicked for striking out.

If you truly are good at the fight, you must not be afraid to make or join parties like that. It's much better than not progressing or shelling out 1mil or w/e for a carry.

People can advertise whatever services they want, doesn't mean people have to buy them. That being said, the only issue I have is that many of these 'advertisements' are little more than spamming the Mor Dhona chat log with endless shouts. Seriously guys, if you don't want to end up on my blacklist, please don't repeat the same line 5 times in the space of a minute.

I think I have more than a few 'content sellers' on my blacklist for spamming alone.

Lets take titan ex for an example here.

The people that done it once not skilled so asking them for help is not a good idea.

The people who are skilled and know the fight will not do it again because there is nothing for them in it.

The people that you are trying to kill it with are random (PF) and they rage quit after 2-3 tries.

The people that might help you clear it is the people that will do it for gill.

1000 tries and counting.

It is true that since the i90 weapons obtained by beating Garuda/Titan/Ifrit are mostly outclassed by the Levi EX weapons, there are less skilled players doing Titan EX for weekly clears so it's probably a lot tougher for PF groups to win Titan EX nowadays. I'd even go as far as to saying that makes it much harder, compared to how much the echo makes the fight easier.

The thing is for titan, Echo just barely does anything since its a very mechanical fight. You fail to dodge = you die. No amount of echo will let you survive landslide or a multihit of way of the land. The best it can help with is bombs which are frankly enough one of the easiest parts of the fight since thats just remembering "bomb x here so i need to move to spot y without getting hit by landslide".

i personally have no issue with content selling or mercing. in other mmos, i made my living off of being a merc. however, the one thing that ALWAYS annoyed me with FFxiV mercs is that... that most don't have no form of tact, manners or even give off a sense of friendliness to their buyers

this is f**king disgusting. if you gonna merc, you must know the first rule: treat your clients with respect. DO NOT RUN SCAMS ON THEM. sure you can say they deserved it , but they are your livestock could and would just find someone else to buy carries from

the picture above is a perfect guide how NOT to merc.

im thinking the problem people have with paid kills is that it ignores the time that someone has put towards something. my static had been doing t1-4 every week, but after trying t5 twice, all of them gave up on trying t5 at all. i would join pugs to try to get exp, and most of the time, the group would wipe to conflags. soon enough, paid carries started showing up, and learning parties died, so getting people together was next to impossible to do. now the only thing popping up in pf is "t5 farming party, kill exp required" or the one group selling t5 kills. would i pay for the kill? not after trying to pay for a titan hm kill, and the party sucking more than others i had tried it with. needless to say, i didnt pay for that one, and soon after downed titan. not sure who said it, but it works; make a learning/teaching party, see who does well, and after the group splits, send them a message or invite to a LS to get more people like that together.

i have no problem with content selling, so long as the seller delivers. it is one persons choice to buy that content, regardless of skill/lack of skill. its not always bads buying clears for stuff.
