Maren Ive played mmos for years. My first reaction is to look for evidence on forums or internet that its not me then I go into troubleshooting mode but next time I do believe Ill be more patient lol. Im so addicted to the game its unreal XD I just wanna finish farming my wind shards darn it! Ahaha!

Was able to log in finally. Seems to be working as normal for the moment...no lag currently detectable. In Indiana on NuWave cable modem.

To be honest, I think people are well within their right at the moment to be complaining about this. I've known people with lag issues that are server side since the previous patches have hit that make it absolutely impossible for them to do anything serious. I've gotten a taste of the same issues the past few days on a smaller scale with issues connecting and multiple random 90ks while running stuff with people. Over the past couple of weeks, my coil 1-5 static has had the same issues, and while a lot of them are able to be coped with 1-4 we often times have to spend far more time doing T5 than is necessary due to people freezing for long periods of time or 90k'ing. That does not imply stability, and talking with others - many others - proves that they share the same issues. Not to mention that things always get the worst just before a new patch hits.

So no, it's not working as intended (or if it is, "intended" is really shitty), and they need to do something to fix it. Now if that means that they have to take things down for an emergency maintenance, then by all means... do so. Just address the public about the issues and then address the issues themselves. People pay for time, and all of these issues affect what they pay for.

It's worse because there's already a massive 10 hour maintenance today during NA primetime, so yeah, people are understandably upset. Maybe not to the extent some people are going, but I think they have a right to express discontent with the situation just as much as anyone else.

Woohoo- I just got back in (Cactuar). Seems okay for now. Time to mine some stuff XD.

Edit: No lag either. I know people were crying over this - but really? A few hours of being locked out and Square gets it taken care of that fast? That's actually fairly impressive IMO.

It is NOT easy to fix, Contrary to popular belief. You all really think fixing server issues is as easy as pressing a single button? God..if life was that easy...There would be no bullshit anymore!

i'm hearing from XIVPads that peeps are getting back in-game. I hope all the crying was worth it!
