I think one issue is the lack of knowledge about ACT itself. Not many people even know how to import/export ACT logs, or even know where they're stored on ones computer.

Awesome! From the parse, seems like 18% crit. Are you sure that's unmerged? Time says 01:36 on the top.

I do believe that number's possible if you guys had a long-ass fight and it ended right before second dodge phase, though. Would still probably need to sustain 630~ or so the entirety of your uptime to sustain that with the downtime (time waiting for Bennus to spawn, waiting for Phoenix to become mortal, dodge phase's 20s or so of standing around), which sounds hard without a NIN, though I could see the AoE/multi-DoTing portion slightly making up for that.

I haven't watched the stream but that looks like it's only the last minute and a half of the fight. If you're looking for unmerged your friend needs to change the values for when act starts a new encounter. Until then this isn't an accurate parse to look at for t12 as a whole.

I think I see what's up with the time. I think his encounter timer is set too low, most likely the default 6 seconds.

So I think what happened is his ACT started a new encounter after the Dodge Phase, and that lasted 1:36, that would explain a few of the very wide ranging numbers there, such as the 328 BLM.

Gotta have zero culling for a fight to be unmerged, which is the only accurate and fair way to judge DPS. Not only will merging sometimes mess up both DPS and encDPS just by weirdo merging, it literally doesn't count downtime after it gets culled as part of the fight and then you'll have highly inflated numbers.

Not saying that's definitely what's happening here but that's just how it works when culling happens. One duration from start to finish, taking in all the downtime as part of your DPS, the only way to keep it fair group to group.

I think I've reported someone once since ARR launch, and iirc it was someone being vulgar and insulting at the same time.

I have no issues with people using profanity on here. I've done it myself a few times, but I tend to err on the side of "people here can be ridiculously thin skinned."

So, let's start speculate about the new skills coming up in 3.0 and how badly they'll trash our glorious rotation! :D

Or rather, what would you want the job to get? I'm assuming there'll be two new DRG skills and three new LNC skills and a few traits. I'd like one more self-buff to keep up for shits and giggles, yet another positioning skill (because that's what makes DRGs special as a melee job in my opinion) and maybe a fourth thrust skill.

Ideally there'd be job traits to cut our ridiculous cooldowns on DFD and SD, but that ain't happening I guess.

I would like a trait for Full Thrust where it's guaranteed crit from the rear so our DPS is not so crit RNG dependent and abolish Life Surge.

Get rid of Power Surge and buff Jump.

Replace Feint with a move we can actually use or make it an off GCD move.

Guaranteed rear crits are too rogue-esque for me I think, but I agree with the Power Surge and Feint stuff - PS is a skill that isn't felt when you use it, it just raises the numbers a tiny bit. I like Feint in theory but since it's GCD and everything and their mother resists it, mmyeah.

That, plus one thing that not everyone say, but happens. Sometimes, I just don't post my parse so I'll not "expose" any of my static members. Not everyone is ok in sharing their results and we could discuss for ever about it, but I just respect ones decision.

And even further, there's the "social media thing" where people will only expose their best and hide the worst. You don't get avarage numbers, always that optimal 1%~10%.

Dervy did 635 with 28% crit and 504 accuracy, I think the difference is big enough lol

I will make a new parse with acc and other one without acc when ill finish my setup anyways. I wanted take highest dps for this i didnt use acc setup of course, but i will np for me :o

She just did 697 in 4 min I'm not even kidding, a DRG from Moogle came to see her in action and that's what happened. The video she uploaded it's definitely not a 1/1,000,000 parse.

Hey, it also matters which things crit, but it's still ~2% more crits than we'd expect out of that gearset :P

And that's why I'm going to PM Shin Jouku for her ACT combat logs to see exactly what she crit, as well as her damage ranges. There's many, many variables that can affect the parse and I suspect that she was critting all of her high-potency skills (or a majority) and her damage range was on the +5% side. Her CD usage is no different than anyone elses (including mine), so she's not doing any special tricks that no one else knows about.

After seeing the details about her coil runs, I'm willing to bet that this was the run of runs where all the big hits crit all the time.

515 on t13 is impressive; whats the clear time like, or is that a spaghetti run with lots of deaths?

Its impressive because it actually takes a /really/ good run, or being cheesed. The best run I've had is a 500, with a death, and I have the highest NA run on t10 and had the highest on t11 for a week or so. T13 varies so much that it pisses me off.

Notice the BRD did 340 DPS with no deaths. That's probably a cheesed add phase where he went AFK for the whole add phase or something.

515 on DRG is really good if you had a 12~ minute run or less and everyone does very well in add phase. Gets less impressive as the fight gets longer and people slack in the add phase but will always be decent.

Yes, of course I noticed, but anyway, my first kill with monk was 507 losing gl3 at least once in p4 because I wanted to kill that shit safely. And dragoons can out dps a monk on T13 so I don't see anything wrong with a dragoon doing 531.

Even tho, I'm not going to say that the 340 bard it's not weird but I don't rush and think the negative way, maybe if the dragoon was doing 550 I would.

Can all the dragoons, including myself, just get good already so we can take back Ishgard?
