Marriage Partner Hookup Megathread!

That is the thing. You don't marry a random person. You try to become friends. Like in RL, you don't have a conversation with a random people for over 20-30 mins at least you are forced. It is after you become friends you both then marry because you both want the items. Friends help each other. A relationship in game is rare. rp/erp is a thing that you just do cu you want to have someone to entertain you. It is obvious it won't last. But there are exceptions and mY be a few may turn into friendship (which I think it is just weird and a bad star that is IMO)or a relationship.

I know it is funny and we will LOL, but we have heard a lot of bad experience of people just marrying cuz of rp/items/I fell in love (BUT it was just on-sided because oops forgot to say I was developing emotional affections to a person that may be was just Rping or just want to have someone to look cute with in front of others. @ Vivi_Bushido it looks good that you are open minded and say you are open to more then friendship, but I would suggest to include you RL gender, too no just your in game gender.

Divorce itself is easy, but sometimes it can cause even more drama than the RL one. It all depends on the people involved. I have seen some people who took it really hard. Especially one case was really hilarious - a guy was pretending to be a girl and then was so surprised that the eb partner suddenly disliked him and blacklisted him when they learned the harsh truth, especially after all the eRP, that he became a stalker spamming the person in question on Facebook and stuff.

I can understand you saying you don't have preference. The problem comes to what people see. Some people will think a girl with a female character or others will say a guy with a female character. You have to remember no everyone is open minded and/or some people are shy people. Having more info will help (that is why most people nowadays are adding their rl and other things too into the app which seems lacking)

As I said it is a suggestion. You don't need to do it if you don't want to.

Someone people believe that an online gender has nothing to do with RL gender because they will never meet or at least in the virtual world they do have the physical appearance of tbeir liking and/or partner's.

Just a repost/update, hard not to get buried in this thread lol, still looking, please note, i'm not level 50 yet, only recently restarted in Lamia, should get there in a week or so.

Do you care if the player in real life is not the same gender as their character? Nope, don't care either way, whether in game or irl

Main class?: MRD,PLD (working towards being a tank mainly)

Dislikes: Rude people, if you're a nice person and willing to communicate, we should get along fine

Goals for the game: Run content at my own pace and make some friends while doing so.

Goals for the marriage union: To forge good friendship and have someone with matching schedule to clear content together with. Just, you know, play the game and have fun

Etc: I want to EB on at least the gold tier and up, this is a requirement because items I want are not in found in the normal tier and this will be the first EB for me. I also don't really RP much lol, but not opposed to it. Also, I'm a little slow at leveling due to time constraints irl, so I'm looking for people with a similar schedule and mindset. The game is not everything for me, just a place to relax and enjoy my free time. That said, I'd like to run everything at least once, be it dungeons, raids, or crafting, and even getting a house at some point and time. My schedule is pretty fixed and I'm consistent, so you can usually find me in game at said times.

If it is a caring partner they would be willing to help you level and gear up. My partner created a alt on my server to be with me and I have been helping them level and do the MSQ, they are just about to complete the HW quests and start the Dragonsong war quests then we will work on unlocking everything and gearing them up.

I have been having a blast helping my partner level and gear up.

There are also people who enjoy helping others gear/level up. Personally, I don't care about levelling my own jobs, but I've helped others from 15 to 50 (pre-heavensward), even on a job I had already maxed. It was a lot of fun actually :)

Etc: Truth be told I've been on Balmung for 3 years now and have yet to find someone who wants to stick it out with me. Last time I had a "partner" ingame it was mainly RP driven but apparently people get bored easily these days. I've spent most of my time soloing stuff but I am in a rather nice FC full of funny and helpful people. I have alts on other servers but nothing above level 30. Dislikes: Giving up after one wipe, 'Hardcore and 'Gotta go fast' attitude all the time. Other than that I'm mostly pretty chill, just don't be an asshat/jerk.
Goals for the game: Having fun while levelling jobs, story content, getting AF gear/glamour gear, sightseeing and clearing content at a leisurely pace where possible. Don't really care for trying to get BiS stuff or trying out Savage modes. Will end game raid but nothing serious or scheduled play.
Goals for the marriage union: Apart from the loot I'm looking for a buddy to play with since I dislike soloing content all the time. Or if we're not doing content, it'd be nice to just generally hang out shooting the breeze/gathering/crafting on the side.
