I choose to be salty today, Archfiend set let Lalafell has ears covered and Viera doesn't even have one, and we all know who play Lalafell and out of touch with other races.

Also the way Yoshida himself address the housing situation with a direct news while Hrothgar just get a vague answer, seem they show their priorities.

And the leak/bug ear on the Snow hair.

they've had meshes in place for other race's ears for ages, will bake it into new pieces, but Hrothgar and Viera need to subsist on the scraps they throw us. "it's just too difficult" isn't really a valid excuse, if you cannot do more than half ass these races, they shouldn't have been released until they were up to par. I have been hitting Crystalline Conflict hard (for some reason, I have aggression that I need to channel...) and seeing all these quick portraits of Lala or Miqo SAM with a special Myochin Jingasa model to allow for their pointed ears was salt in the wound I did not need today.

Lalafell and Elezen have always had ears modelled into their hats. They're usually oversized and gawky.
