Amazing. Another person putting in his input about Lebron in a square Enix forum.
You'd love him on your team. Keep up with the biased remark though
See you at the mediocre end game!

Maybe SE is doing something which they did FFXI. That is, have people focus on being godly in 1 class, where that 1 class is where they truly show off everything they have, by obtaining things which take a hella lot of dedication and time.
I don't see the problem with this.
Some of the things your saying I don't agree with in your past posts, however THIS I will agree with...
I feel as though they throw equipment at you like mad throughout your entire time from lvls 1-49, then suddenly, you have to grind for weeks on end just to get 1 item. Which you know what it is. This DOES create a very boring, and sleep fest mode for end game. I totally agree with that.
If they removed 70% of the equipment from lvls 1-49 from every single quest, you'd see an incentive for people to actually use their gil other than stashing it. You'd see the market stable out where lvl 40 items aren't selling for 300 gil, and if they allowed dungeons to drop random, very rare, but extremely good loot, or equipment, would make end game grinding alot more fun, as you don't know what your about to get.
What people reading this post are failing hardcore to understand, is that its the "knowing whats coming" is whats making it epically boring. It's the thrill of the unknown, and the chance which makes grinding fun. The OP I don't believe is complaining about grinding, he's complaining essentially about how boring SE has made End Game grinding.
::shrug:: Maybe they'll make it better in the coming months when more people are 50.
I too would much rather go into an instance hoping the item I want drops then to earn tokens which after a while will result in me purchasing said item.
There is a feeling of joy when the item you've killed a boss 20 times for finally drops where as when you are earning tokens it's more of a feeling of "just one more run and I get X, 20 more runs until I get Y...". The later makes the game feel much more grindy imo even if they both could take roughly the same amount of time to complete.
What people also do not understand is the tomestones are not supposed to be the primary way to get gear, its just we are missing tiers of content. you are supposed to run things to get gear, and bonus is tomestones which in time add up and you can ensure your getting gear. If this does not become clear when 2.1 is here, then maybe there is something to be said.
the ilv90 stuff out of ilv60 content is clearly supposed to take a while to get the gear. this will not change for a while, not until ilv90 gear isnt best in game.
I love how the bad implementation of endgame in and old game can be still used an an excuse for the bad implementation of endgame in a new game released over a decade later, what a world we live in.
Really what this game needs right now is a semi difficult 8man dungeon that drops i70 gear, some T2 tokens, say 30 or so per boss and like 50 T1 tokens as a step up from AK but before the primals and BC. oratleast different dungeons besides AK...my god its boring.
the AF2 = Allagan set from bahamut's maze...you know it?
Not being able to speedrun AK was the thing that poked holes in the endgame design. You have to put at least 8 hours a week (not counting queue time and wipes...so let's put it closer to 10-12 hours a week) just running 1 dungeon to cap myth.
They just turned FFXIV into a part time job...and I'm not comfortable with that AT ALL.
