Points well taken and appreciated.
Also, so right on the FPS on consoles. I will never get it.

ok, people dont want server cross dungeons, but with our low population is needed something to create partys easier than now (sure system is good, but too complex for some people)
How about a NPC in each city that allow u to "subscribe" different events (like dungeons, or more future content) and a search system like Markets to see WHO is subscribed on each event?
I personally doubt there will be many issues making parties when people are actually motivated to create them. Although for dungeons and stuff it would be nice for there to be a list of players to sign up as.
"Interested in joining a group"
Then again forums and normal social interactions have been the backbone of a orginizational hub like this, and I'm sure they would do perfectly fine for people looking to join linkshells and other such groups for group events until they find themselves a good group of friends to play with.
I think this would be a great idea, I remember when it was almost impossible to get sky or sea access in XI unless you were able to find a good commited group of people who you could work with on your server. I never had this problem but I do recall many people who applied to the end game shell I was in, being turned down because this was mandatory (before you say they should have should have shouted, been more outgoing etc. a lot of these people were with no success as noone wanted to do these missions over again or were tired of helping.) It would be nice if they had access to something like this to hook up with people from other servers who needed the same mission/battle done so they could move on, and get to enjoy the end game content that the end game LSes afforded.
Having Sea/Sky access wasnt a requirement for some LS just because of the content there, but because it also showed that the player had initiative, decent teamwork skills, and was competent.
Take charge and form your own group to complete these dungeons! Relying on SE to make some sort of matchmaker is pretty silly and lazy.
I duod every fight to get sky at 75. You could solo all of it if you were really good x_x(I was scared of soloing the zilart guy @ the top of the tower + soloing other fights)
You know what I think is funny, I don't like Western style games usually, but I was reading an article about Rift, and they make you group up for everything, quests, leveling, people always have the option to join your party and they do often. So no one plays that game alone unless they are specifically trying to be antisocial. Rift beat us with group based play.....LOL!
I don't appreciate that kind of attitude. It gives the impression that you judge entire groups of people that you don't even know.
Game systems that take out unneeded time sinks and boredom are good. They would not be "catering to the instant-gratification needs" of anyone. They would be facilitating the use of the parts of the game that people find enjoyable.
If you find enjoyment in asking friends or others to help you accomplish goals then fine. A lot of people don't and would rather experience parts of the game without the hassle.
I still don't understand how the content its self is any different regardless of how the group came to being. What lvl of coordination and skill the content is geared towards is a hole different matter entity.
So can you drop the old man looking down at the rest of the world act now? Instant gratification is part of the human condition and has been since recorded history. Sometimes it is fun running past steps 1 2 and 3 to get to a more enjoyable 4.
What you have to take into account before anyone will take you seriously on the subject is that if the people involved have skipped over steps 1 2 and 3 when it comes to skill, coordination, and planing they wont make it through the dungeon anyway. And that is the dedication the game should take into account, not pro Facebook friend finder skills that you deem so very important.
What are you talking about? Rift is like WOW, it's 100% solo based until the level cap(50). Do not repeat things you read, because people post EXTREMELY retarded things that are 10000% wrong(This is why Kilta should not be posting, her opinion is based off of other things people say which are probably just as wrong). I played rift, hit 50, and have experience with it. I solod to 50 doing easy quests, it is not a group based game at all. Everyone levels solo.
Yeah, I agree with this. it's really annoying, companies shouldn't focus on spoon-feeding people. People need to stop being dumb and actually try for once, instead of being lazy.Quote:
So SE is required to literally spoon-feed their players?
Maybe instead, SE should try to find a compromise instead of just catering to the instant-gratification needs of part of the player base.
