yes and no.
The CPU is on par to the PS3 & 360. The GPU however is stronger. The main advantage of the Wii U is the higher memory space.

People will claim the PS3's CPU is stronger, though the Cell is a royal fustercluck to program on (trust me, I've tried with a SDK). So I'd say the Wii U's CPU is on equal footing because it's much easier to program for and isn't based off of alien technology like the PS3's CPU is. :p But yeah, the Wii U passes up the 360 in every way, no doubt.
Let SE finish the PS3 version first, so they can release the PC and PS3 version at the sametime. Then let SE worry about other platforms I don't really care about.
This here is a prime example of bad judgement. What you suggested will delay the potential sales of the game. Equaling longer development time, and a broken promise just to make a port for other consoles from scratch.
I apologize for your emotional inconvenience about me not caring, but your logic, and trolling is flawed.
you don't seem to understand the post. I was mocking the original quote. I'm not actually proposing that SE cancel the PS3 version.
What I was trying to do is illustrate your selfishness for basically saying 'screw everything else, I have a PS3 so make the game for my platform first!" which is typical of every fan of a particular console.
In most cases, you would contract it out such that another team would handle porting to a new platform such that the main team can focus on continuing to develop content for the game. And in fact, SE has contracted with another company to port/develop some as yet unnamed games to the Wii U.
I understand it very well, and I did address that issue in my closing sentence.
think about it, splitting the development staff further will ultimately slow down production, so its best SE have priorities to finish sooner. In this case PC and PS3 version was first.
edit: we all know how bad that bayonetta port was from sega.
But he is right though, even though I don't give 2 shits about the PS3 either. Besides that typically if they finish one port for a console it makes it much easier to port to another, because they have at least the conceptual interface parts finished and merely have to adapt the game to the new system, hence scrapping PS3's development might delay things further for other console ports.
I'm not disputing that. There is a possibility this could happen, though certainly not until some time after the game is released and then it would be contingent on its success. There's no good reason to just shoot it down.
Not every game port is a disaster. This isn't a reason not to do it.Quote:
