Nobody knows where to look, which is why the same questions get asked over and over again on Reddit and become the top Google searches that we now don't have access to lol.

I thought the main sub was just people posting their catgirls and forced positivity?
As someone who googles questions about the game a lot and always get reddit posts, it did bother me a bit. Luckily, I found a solution when you need to see a post from ffxiv reddit while it's closed down. You can put "cache:" in front of the url and it will show when google last checked the post. It doesn't always work but it did help me a few times. Actually, the subreddit being private led me to lurk threads here instead lol.
Reddit is hardly the only source of information on the game.
You want info on how to play your class? The Balance.
You want fishing timers or other related info? FF14 Angler.
Gathering timers? FFXIV Gathering
Crafting leveling guides? Icy Veins
MSQ guides? The FF14 Wiki
Glamour info? The Glamour Collection
Money making? UhhOlivia's blog is a godsend
All of these sites were found using a simple Google search and have been my main source of information for the past three years I've been in this game. I've maybe used Reddit a handful of times for really obscure searches like the JP theory with Atma gathering.
Hell, YouTube can replace all of the above since there's basically been a video on everything under the sun made.
I think it's these moderators who need to go touch grass or something, they even have the audacity to ask people money....
Maybe getting an actual working job would be a good idea too.
Nothing against Pride or people donating to other good causes, but asking people to give money when you are withholding access to information and communication with others because you're on a power trip and are a bunch of freeloaders, is something else...
These moderators need to be removed and replaced ASAP, and July can't come soon enough...
Esecially when they got so bad that other subreddits had to be created to actually discuss FF14
The highly upvoted poster of that sub is a repost bot that posts PixV, Twitter ,Social media linked art that "coincidentally" are from artists that take commissions.
I wouldn't be surprised if the mods on that subreddit get kickbacks from artists hence why art is almost always at the top.
