Why is the playerbase so mentally fragile now

The real question is: Why are so many Players in FFXIV such massive ragemachines these days?

When i started this Game shortly before HW, people were super friendly and helpful of their own. People were patient and would explain stuff.

These Days my wife gets shredded when she Tanks a new dungeon simply for being new and not miraculously knowing everything the instant she sets foot in the dungeon.
Players demand everything available to be accessible to everybody and if its not, they use third party tools to get it.

I often wish FFXIV would not have blown up as it did, maybe it would still be the World i fell in love with.

There are some people who treat a game like a job, or worse, if we were to use DWA as an example of the higher end idiocy, setting themselves up as "superior players" who can look down on the 'lesser" people. I also recall a guild back in WOW that basically considered their members employees....which is and was beyond pathetic.

Id put it down to personal failings, really.

That is a massive lie and you know it, that doesnt happen, at worst people will want her to be a bit faster because pulling pack by pack is useless as the mobs hit like wet noodles, but she wouldnt get bashed because of not knowing tactics or anything of the sort, stop trying to make the community look worse than it is.

It's evolution, and it's for the better, you cant keep on telling people they are doing an amazing job if.. they arent, because then they'll never improve. A part of the fun in FFXIV is improving and getting better at the game.

Just because you dont see it happen doesnt mean it didnt happen...you know better than this. Or you should. Lay off the personal attacks as well. Calling someone a liar because what they saw conflicts with your own personal views and prejudices is way out of line.

Who are you to tell others what happens on servers you dont play on and have never been to.

Those aint personal attacks, stop with the paranoia, me telling them that their situation didnt happen is not a personal attack, I started this game 2 years ago, went through all the MSQ dungeons, the raids and everything else, and not a single time did I get blamed for not knowing what I was doing, I was tanking and in the case that we wiped, we would simply stop and I would actually tell them that I am confused and if they could explain what to do, and guess what, it worked every time, communication goes a long way.

I'm sorry what ? Lmao, we play the same game bud, you aint gonna convince me that another server is different, I also did MSQ on NA on Aether if that can make you feel better, and it was the same result even though I had a little bit more of a clue, I still needed people to tell me what I was doing wrong sometimes or we had to stop and they had to explain to me what the strategy was for X boss in X dungeon, stop trying to find excuses

Yes, and by going outside, there might be a car going right at you to run you over because they are in a high speed chase, or maybe you're going to go right off your doorstep and then the ground will give in and you'll fall,point is, yes there are 0.001% cases of some people being mean/rude towards people, what's new ? This is a video game, people behind the screen are humans, so what ?
