That time estimate seems a bit generous. I'd predict 7.3 or so, maybe the expansion after that. If ever.

Eh who knows. I'd think that the UI enhancements would be worked on at the same time the graphics updates are. It makes sense to me for the devs to release the UI enhancements at the same time as the graphics update because they would be packaged together as FFXIV's new and refreshed appearance.
