I'll continue to be baffled if there's never like, a reason given. If you already have the description, wouldn't it take like 2 seconds to post the text somewhere? So why ;-;

Copium: maybe this will be in the Unending Codex they announced in today's LL.
Dude, I can't blame you. I keep hoping "maybe they'll share it after [x] update!"
It does feel like as of current the team cares a lot less about sharing non-MSQ/non-WoL-centric lore outside of lore books, so I'm not going to hold my breath even though I want to. But maybe, maaaaybe characters like Erenville or Loifa will show up in the Unending Codex and have actual surnames to share and some useful, relevant notes. Maybe. ;_;
Please devs, give us the forbidden male viera naming conventions!!! We're begging!!
Still checking the official post every day. In hope. I am looking forward to see it completed :/
Oh my god, they finally posted them. This is not a drill!
Congrats on getting them ^_^

Rava get the cooler surname system, and there's still no indication of how to pronounce "wesfv" though at least we know what it means. City names could be an English translation for clarity.
Not exactly. Estinien is listed in the lorebook as "Wyrmblood" which is pretty clearly an epithet and not a proper surname. He does give his actual surname to the clerk at the Sharlayan docks, though I can't remember what it was.
As for Yugiri, even if we haven't been told her surname directly, the second lorebook has profiles for a number of Sui-no-Sato residents (including her parents) and indicates that all except the Ruby Princess have the surname Sui.
