This is the LL covering all the changes to the battle system. We don't know if there will or won't be other stuff, or what it would be.

Deleting Crit/Det from all tank gear, no longer letting us meld DH, and making us focus Tenacity as our only stat.

Nothing about the new gathering thing? what was it again, a farm?

The News concerning the Live Letter only state 'Patch 5.0 information' and 'miscellaneous announcements'. Nothing about it being only about Battle System.

I certainly remember Yoshi P saying during the FanFests that combat details will be in the May Live Letter.

Yeah, I'm about 99.9% sure he brought it up but I can't remember exactly when.

Yes, but that doesn't mean that there won't be other stuff besides the Battle System.

I'd almost forgotten that was even a thing... Perhaps one of the more interesting things they mentioned at Vegas, yet something we know practically nothing about...

The concept certainly has a lot of potential to be interesting content, but well... So did Diadem, and FC Workshops, and Deep Dungeons, and Eureka...

Yeah, to be honest, I really like the idea and am very interested in it. But it was left completly forgotten :'(

My predictions are:
DNC and GNB showed
DNC is stupidly broken and very fun, and will most likely become so bad that it's unplayable at 5.1 (Heavensward launch AST)
GNB is quite balanced and fun
They repeat what they said about genderlocks
They showcase new glamours
They showcase new mounts
They show WHM and its even worse
SCH is also bad now
AST is broken
MCH is a lot less fun but a bit easier to play
DRK is quite fun and balanced
They showcase all of the other jobs
No benchmark at all or not until the launch of ShB
