pvp healing is just boring now. All healers are single target heal spammers with some added gimmick, and nothing to do beyond that. No area control, aoe healing (technically assize but it's so weak it's really just an MP tool), or anything to make it more interesting...

pvping as a healer is just the same as it was before, but now it's a bit more fast-paced and active

I'd say there's about the same amount of healers and tanks as there was before. There are just exponentially more dps now.

...It's not the same at all. You literally get 2 single target heals, plus a class flavor (regen, deorbit+simplified cards, shield...).

Healers are a pale shadow of what they could do before in pvp.

We're 4 days into stormblood. What do people expect? Well 8 if you count early access.

Add to that the massive obstacles trying to get past things like cold steel holding them back for days.

Many players have jobs and stuff and still aren't 70.. 3 of my friends are 70 but none of them have a job they can quite literally play all day.

Far to early to say there's a shortage of roles because players simply haven't got that far yet. I'd honestly be surprised if even 5% of the playerbase made it to 70 by now

Before the doom and gloom let's wait a month or more first?
You know Stormblood is only live 7 days(less if you exclude the first 3 messy days).
People are still levelling and trying to figure out how everything works.

Personally I feel most healers are more on the casual side of things, and they havent rushed to endgame yet.
Personally I'm rushing to endgame, and im still on the Lv61 MSQ. (Partly due to queues to get into my server, as I tend to get kicked from the game roughly 10% of the time i zone, which the quests require me to change zones a lot. The other reason being I switched to RDM , as DRK is no longer fun. Tried WAR, and couldnt get past the need for more overpower, and yet no means to keep TP up, even with zerk/lowered TP cost on it, ppl generate far more threat than they did before. Havent tried PLD yet.)

Once Im geared up on RDM, ill get my WHM or AST up. (Which will most likely be what I use to gear up my RDM quicker, after i get there)

every class and roles have gotten the same treatment, and they've their reasoning for that. try looking at all these changes in a positive way, maybe you'll have more fun with the game, and less to whine about.

I have a bad feeling that SE will address the healer imbalance by gutting AST and WHM to SCHs level rather than truly fixing SCHs. I hope I'm wrong.

I just hit 70, but as I have been leveling up, WHM does not feel bad at all. I have yet to do the primal ex modes or the new dungeons, but as long as I can do those, I will be happy. Healing requirements and intensity seem to be increased quite a bit so that we actually have to heal and not just slap on a regen and dps. I've still found ways to dps during content but I have had to heal quite a bit more and as a career healer, I enjoy this. But as the others have said, please give us some time to level up and the queues will get better. There are a many who work full time jobs and they should finish this weekend.
