If you're a PLD and think you *need* buffs, you're almost certainly a bad PLD. (TP issues aside, since that's an issue for multiple jobs right now depending on the fight)

All three tanks are in a pretty good position relative to each other. I do prefer a PLD co-tank to a DRK co-tank for Midas, but the fights fit PLD better, like Gordias fit DRK better. But all three are viable, so its not a big deal.

There's the Valerian gear from Tactics Ogre, which isn't originally a SE title, but Square did purchase Quest, the developer of Tactics Ogre.

EDIT: Oops, misread your post. I don't know about those others.

Is nobody notice you can meld materia through NPC soon? lol... But I don't know if overmeld allowed too.

Palace of the dead is 3.35 sucks...

So no, they can only meld where there are open materia slots. You'll still need a crafter to fully max out a piece of meldable gear.

No overmelds (its called "advanced materia melding" in-game)

3.3 has so many little nice additions and QoL changes that I don't know what to gush over first.

Yeah, so many pages without a mention is surprising. I thought it would be the first thing people would jump on considering the materia threads we had only a few months ago. And no, according to the notes the NPC can't do forbidden melds.

And I know it's only a coincidence, but the meld NPC is almost word-for-word the same as my suggestion in one of the materia threads from a few months ago. I'm going to shamelessly take credit. You're all welcome. #patyourownback.
