Astrologian buffs confirmed

I get that drawing the same card twice can suck most times than not but I mean I had worse cards dealt to me playing poker. Is it wrong to think there is nothing wrong with that? Take a deck of cards and pick 6 differnt ones. Shuffle them and draw a card put it back in the deck and shuffle and draw again. If you do that as many times as you use your cards on AST I guarantee you will be drawing the same card twice frequently too. Its just how the concept of a deck of cards works. Being able to increase your odds on the other cards by eliminating one you don't want just seems OP and would not fly in any card game ever unless mechanics were specifically built around it which I don't think applies to AST. Again I think it sucks to draw same card twice but to eliminate that possibility just seems to sound like cheating as far as any game involving a deck of cards goes. Just my opinion I guess.

I love the job and the concept of the card system. I don't even mind a bit of rng but we need some way to manipulate the deck. Have you looked at the sheath on the side of our gear? It is has 6 slots for drawing each card from. It could be argued that we should have total control over what buffs to use when. However, no one is asking for that. They just want a way to not draw the same useless card again and again, which essentially destroys any potential benefit we may bring to a raid.

They never said this, actually. What they did say is that they wouldn't wait for after Savage to decide if the class needs a buff, like they plan to for other classes.

I took AST into Alexander for the first time tonight, and I have to say, the reduced radius on Helios/Aspected Helios is simply maddening. I really hope they adjust the radius when they do the rest of the sweep.

In a deck of six cards I can guarantee that if I get to shuffle it I can draw any card I want every time.

If you can "shuffle" 6 cards and guarantee you can draw the card you want every time that is not shuffling that is fixing the deck. Shuffling is what you do to jumble the order as to not know what card is next, so I don't really see what your point was.

To be fair, Scholars are probably used to this. It's players coming from White Mage that have to cope with not having Medica II's half-the-planet range.
What really pisses me off is when the tanks decide the Oppressors need to be in opposite corners of the arena and I have to constantly run all over the place.

This is a nice opinion, but we're really comparing apples and oranges if we are talking actual card games and MMOs.

In a card game it's generally accepted, expected even, that you may lose hands due to the luck of the draw. The pattern over time, however, should prove that a skilled player will win more than they lose. A poor hand also isn't an automatic loss in many card games due to other factors (bluffing, your opponents being knocked out by the same variables to which you are subject...).

In this game, however, there are situations where you can't make lemonade out of every lemon hand dealt to you (Spire in a party where no one has TP problems, ever? Shuffle...and Spire again...*headdesk*). The cards would be more viable if they all gave a noticeable benefit regardless of the situation, with certain cards remaining more desirable than others, but as it is you frequently end up with utterly useless buffs. That's what's wrong with the card system right now.

Here's a question. Why are you even moving at all? One healer heals one tank/two DPS on one boss, the other heals the second boss. There's so little actual damage going out most of the time, you could even DPS a little with regens/shields up on the tank you're healing.

I think when AST burn a card or shuffle, the card should be removed from the deck and so you can't roll the same card more than twice. Then the deck is updated when you use a card to buff.

The rng is still there but you can't roll the same card more than two times.
