Wow that dress is gorgeous!
Going over my copy of the art book and looking up the bodies available to casters in the various databases. It seems that the problem is less with robes than it is with "long bodies." Only 16 (7 healer and 9 caster) of the 60+ post-50 body models available do not have a major extension coming off of them that goes below the waist.
D&D Clerics are also off-tanks/mid to frontliners. As they can wear all armor or most of the heavier stuff depending on the edition. FFXIV's healers are on the mage end of the class spectrum.
Well, after taking a good look at the robes we do get, all I have to say is that the problem isn't so much theres too many robes, it's that all the cool looking robes either come from 2nd/final coil or cost out the wazoo, while every other job gets their better looking glamour from extremely easy stuff, or barely cost a dime.
Well, I posted a question for the coming live letter so you can check it out:

I'd 'like' your question that you submitted if it was a bit more neutral. Wanting more/different stuff, yep, sure, but I don't agree with your subjective view plastered all over the post, so I am disinclined to give it my favour. I dare say that there are others that feel the same.

Cant find my closer shot.. but I am all for a Divine armor set too thats dyeable!
I completely agree! I feel like for WHM's I have a choice of wearing a robe or glamouring to... a robe or another robe. :| The only exception to this is costumes or outfits that are available across all classes which is why my glamour is Snow's outfit in black (my fave so far) I feel like I can't glamour to anything else because there is just no variety I can wear. They either need to make cross class glamours a thing or give more choices to WHM's and all other mage classes that have similar issues.
