I think thats more than just RNG in this process, just like Atma Frags, you could get one Frag in a single FATE, and the next take hours to get the frag. I believe if there was a % indicator in the end of the dungeon, there would be so many people complaining about this process. But you know, SE don't say or put any clue because theres more than % or RNG in this process.
Now that I think about it... people do usually think it weirrd that, when I'm taking a break from the grind, I que up for the first several dungeons as a healer, occasionally as a tank, (with in-progress checked in case a party lost their tank or healer) just for the fun of it...
Still wish I could just have all 9 books at once though...
Sounds like you are the one who has a problem with grind then, not those you accuse of it. Light farming is grind, yeah. No RNG, though. Work for reward. That's fine, though. I've no issue with an honest grind.
RNG tends to screw some people over more than others. It doesn't miraculously even out as you seem to think.
Nope I am the opposite, I like the zodiac weapon quest. Zodiac weapon and final coil is the only reason I've logged on for the last 4-5 months. Thats why it pains me to see SE trivialize the relics and the raids. I'm not mean just because I like to be mean. I'm mean because people want to trivialize the game I enjoy so much.
FFXIV 2.0 was popular for a reason, they appealed to as many people as possible; casual and "hardcore" alike. While there is more than enough casuals to keep this game afloat for a while, pushing out the other people will make for a less popular game.
What if SE put a hidden, dymanic cap on the drops? They don't tell us what it is, and it varies by maybe 20-30 runs from player to player. The average could still be way up there, like, 100 runs or more, to give the RNG its chance, but to make sure those "outliers" aren't left for dead.
Now, the question is, what if that system is already in place? :o
I believe Bahamut Coils difficulty is for that, a chance to appeal to Hardcore players. We did most of the Bahamut place and I don't have anything to complain about it, its perfect balanced on party behavior, its something you have full control of. But RNG is just a way to make you lose to something you don't have control.I see no reason in doing more than 20 times a dungeon for no indication of whats happening.
I go through so much bull shit and had the fucking nexus and now this!!! I had it with this stupid quest!
To hell with this RNG Bull shit! I don't plan to spend Time or money doing these stupid dungeon over & over!
What the fuck are you thinking SE! To hell with you!
Nexus -> Zodiac is the most hate
Animus -> Novus is the second hate
