you don't have to test it on Olgoi. Other fishes weights must be affected by lower perception too if the theory is correct.

While that's true, it doesn't help when we're trying to determine if fish weight determines difficulty of catching a hooked fish or not. Just figuring out if higher perception means higher average fish size doesn't tell us that.

I kinda wish someone had asked Yoshi about this at the last live letter :(

He wouldn't have answered. People have been asking and begging for any answer at all about fishing since ARR's alpha, and he almost never says anything. The one time we got him to say a single comment about it, it was just repeating what we had already been told.

True, but i think its safe to say that 2.3 has offered a wealth of oppurtunity for Fishers both economically and achievement based. The class is slowly becoming less and less "casual". For that i'm thankfull.

I'm at my 5th or 6th heat wave and only managed to get one. Plenty of Dune Manta and Caravan Eels, a few "Fish got away" and a single Olgoi x:

Yea i hear ya. took me a good two weeks to get the last Olgoi.
I even got trolled at the end, had 2 NQ and 2 HQ.. Go figure.

makes absolutely no sense why you can't trade in a mixture of NQ and HQ... ><

ikr... i got a lot of fish gets away x.x only caught 1. and its hq =.= ugh.... so i have to hope rng gives me 2 more hq or wait till i can get 3 nq ones
