Further proof that the market wards are a festival of failure.

it really starts to make me angry how they still persist and maintain this stupid system. Sometimes i think they only keep it so they have monthly bugfixes instead of nothing to show... since with the MW they will always have fixes for it that won't help or significantly improve the system to match a simple AH...

They are wasting dev. resources on THIS? cmon... Why do they keep on updating ffxiv if they want it to fail? i don't get it...
It really feels as if they do EVERYTHING possible to never get more then 50% in the future ps3 ratings...

EDIT: after 1 year of MW failings... its time to give up really. This has nothing to do with other overhaul, battle changes etc. it should be 100% right now or at least 99%. but not half working and still slow etc. etc. as it is now.

Bayohne has there been any info on how they intend to resolve the lag issues with massive amounts of retainers in the zone going forward.. like say when more ppl start to play?

I'd rather not have XI-style AH. It was good for its time, but there are much better and more functional systems already existing, MW included. Just get rid of graphically rendering the retainers and zones, let everything be done from a single menu, and it'll be great.

OR just make a simple freakin auction house FFXI AH not wow AH so easy everything seperated properly i just dont get it this system will always have problems and the more that play the bigger the problem will get.
The ppl that like this system cant answer the question of how to make it work they just say they think its better..

I'm fine with a menu system as long as its not npc's named inny minny miney and moe lined up by the hundreds that lag the game when u enter the stupid wards ..
buying/selling in this game is way harder then it should be.. scrap the damn npc's..

Take a look at Neopets, Dragonica and even Amazon.com. Their models all involve player/user owned shops, but you don't have to physically browse to the shops. You can purchase the items from the shops directly from the search menu or item page, but you're also able to browse the shop as a whole (again, without needing to render it or move a character to its physical location) if you want to.

That's what MW should have been. None of this retainer zombies sitting in a dungeon that you must physically travel through to get your items.

Yeah - bringing stability to the markets is just demonstrating the need for a good long-term roadmap for the market ward system.

Nothing like taking a huge step backwards to the 90's EQ1 style market ward system.
