And that of course implies that XII's and Tactics' Ivalice has always existed on Hydaelyn, when we know that's not the case at all (that might change with the Ivalice raid, but then we just go back to my main argument on how you can't make a race playable when they technically don't exist on the planet itself yet).

It's not if they can exist but when.

I've always liked Viera and I would welcome them in the game, so I hope they get added in the future, both of the concept art that OP posted are awesome to me, but my favorite is the second one, since it kinda makes a "unique" approach to the race, they also have normal feet/hands on that one, so that could resolve the issue of the long fingers and high heels of the Viera.

If I have to choose out of the concept arts I will deffo go for the first one not the second one. I wouldn't like Cute Viera. Fran a like

Who else is hoping to see a Veira within Return to Ivalice as forshadowing the way Yugiri was?

Depends on whether the Ivalice we're going to is the very same Ivalice from Tactics Advance and XII (in which case it'll have more than one Ivalice race), or a rewritten Ivalice to fit FFXIV's lore. If it's the latter, then who knows (might just end up being XIV races). If it's the former, then it can't be possible.

Yugiri came from a foreign land off to the east that already exists on Hydaelyn. If Viera come from the Tactics Advance and XII Ivalice, which will not exist on Hydaelyn until 4.1, then it won't make sense. How can a race exist on Hydaelyn (beginning of the ARR story), when they technically shouldn't even be on Hydaelyn up until a certain part of the story (after The Royal Menagerie)?

I'd rather more customization for the current races than a new one.

AuRa don't even make sense in 2.0 content.... Its not hard to write in rational if the devs really want to though. I don't see the point personally.
