Awhile ago, for this reason, I started a forum thread about FOMO and why they're reaching the point where they shouldn't add time gated items to the game. It's disappointing indeed. Time gated items are manipulative. FFXIV has less time gated items then most mmos, thankfully, but ever since PvP's battlepass they've slowly been adding more and more. It's gone to the point where it's starting to reach the threshold where it starts impeding the enjoyment of the game, like it has with PvP. a Two year period of time where the items are unobtainable is way too long, IMO.

Anyway, as for hairstyles that would be nice to have, someone recently showed me some of the hairstyles that didn't win the 2023 hairstyle contest, that looks really nice imo! They fill in a lot of areas that are lacking in the game's current hairstyles. I hope they could still be implemented even if they didn't win the contest because I think they would compliment the game really well. Specifically these ones.

I always pop back here to show support I really would love Yugiris hair and also Minfillia long hair. It would be nice to see a side braid and also a certain new NPC's long hair :)

Maybe they should just unlock hairstyles for all races but it might have some issues due to ears etc

Yugiri's hair doesn't even clip and originally was made using the female Miqo model

I would love her hair I just wish they would let us toggle bangs/fringes as some styles are nice but I do not like them being fussy. It would be nice if they added some long side braids or just long braided hair maybe they will going into Evercold with it having that kind of theme.

I know we are due a new long hair so let us pray to the twelve we get one and a nice braided one soon ^O^
