About an hour before servers down I finished my last Mahatma and Zeta'd my second relic, just in time for it to become useless (lulz). I also just got a Nutkin minion from an unhidden map !!!! Didn't claim it as they are still worth quite a lot on my server so I'm gonna hold onto it for a while and see how the rarity changes.

Prep-wise: I got some lvl 30 gear made for Machinist, I did a bunch of leves and picked up my beastmen allowance. I also cleared some system messages at the moogle to make room for new bonus items, I repaired all my items to full and topped up my stash of dark matter and ventures. In the end I decided to log out in the room at Coerthas. I figure since maintenance finishes at like 7pm for me, there is a good chance for me to be able to log on as soon as servers are up and get going from there.

Btw during the DRK quest there was a lot of "WTF?!" moment, due its plot a la Berserk.

I was so scared of myself...

Since the start of the Early Access, i've been working on the new Story content and it was AMAZING! \(>_< )/ Gimme the next patch, i wanna see what happens next!

Right now i'm working on gearing up my Paladin for Alexander and leveling the Astrologian in the meantime. I love the Astrologian so far (currently level 38). (^_^ )-b Have any of you tried out the new Jobs and if so, what did you guys think about those? The thing i like the most of the Astrologian, is the card system (where you draw a card, decide if you need it or if you can best use it as a buff for the next card) while still giving that "White Mage Healing" feeling.

Yeah, and the funny thing is that i don't really know where i got it from... I noticed that my inventory was starting to get full and there it was. (^_^; ) I'm getting the feeling i got it from Neverreap.

After gearing up my Paladin, i started working on leveling my Astrologian. I really like that job, so i'm going to level it all the way up to 60. I've managed to get it up to 51 today, and could wear my regular White Mage outfit. After getting the "Serpent Lieutenant's Planisphere", my Astrologian look was complete.

How is everyone enjoying Heavensward? I often find myself going to a task, but then getting completely sidetracked... often just flying around listening to music esp. in the Sea of Clouds XD

I agree... There are quite a few things to do, since i have to level so many classes again. But, i have plenty of time to get that done. (^_~ ) We're going to see if we can clear the 4th Floor of Alexander and farm the Floors for the drops.

I'm very much in love with the Expansion so far. I love the new area's, the story was fabulous, the mechanics in the dungeons are interesting and the new jobs are interesting. I've been leveling the Astrologian, but after leveling it to 54, i'm not 100% sure if it will be my new main healing class. Therefore, i've picked up the White Mage again, which i'll be leveling when i'm done with my daily hunts and Roulettes. If i can still find the time to level my White Mage by running dungeons. (^_^; )

I'm enjoying it, but I wish most of the new healer gear wasn't mostly priest stuff and re-skins, we really need more different types of robe variety (V neck, open top, large sleeves, robe reaching to the ground). Made a thread about that here.
The Orthodox Robe looks amazing though. If it was dye-able I would glamor it in an instant.

As for the story the knights were awesome, but did anyone else think it was odd that we never saw aymeric tell the people of ishgard the truth about their past? I mean if he doesn't, doesn't that just make thordans argument about hiding the truth right? No, I want to see aymeric tell the people and how he handles it. Its way too big of a plothole to ignore.

Is anyone going to watch Live Letter tomorrow? I'll be at work :(

just completed the MSQ, as storytelling was better than the ARR story line. I feeled myself more involved and the music... oh, the music! everytime I'm staing in Zenith I must deactivate the tracks of the mount in order to listen the instrumental version of "dragonsong".

I feel so sad during the custscenes of the white dragon (sorry, I never learn his name :p )

there was even some "lol" momentS: everthing involved moogle, both MSQ and job. Or was more a "WTF?!" moments?:confused:

Speaking about glamour, I usually avoid the "metallic gold dye" because it's so kitsch for my taste, but when I was forced to use it in order to empty my inventory (my retainer fond 6 pot in a row ) I became fond of this:

While you progress through the Main Story, you will be introduced to the Grand Companies of Eorzea (at level 20). As you rise within their ranks, you will have the ability to purchase a Chocobo License with which you get your very own Chocobuddy. Final Fantasy XIV doesn’t have an option to start a in-game voice chat session, but fortunately the PS4 itself does. In order to start a Voice Chat Session, create a party and invite another PS4 player into your party and chat with them. (^_^ )

Unfortunately, PC players won’t be able to join in on the party. (T_T ) /cry.

People who play on a PS3 or a PS4, but want to talk to people on all available platforms, tend to resort to installing a Voip application like Mumble or Teamspeak on their laptops or smartphones.

You also mentioned that you started playing as a Pugilist. When you reach level 30, you will be able to unlock a Job for this class, namely the “Monk”. The requirements for unlocking the “Monk” is that you have Pugilist at 30 and Lancer at 15. You can find the Lancer Guild in Gridania, so i would suggest unlocking the Lancer class when you visit Gridania during the Main Story Quests.

While you’re there, Gridania also houses the Archer and the Conjurer Guilds. Be sure to unlock those as well. Final Fantasy XIV is a game where you can play multiple classes/jobs on a single character and as you level up other classes/Jobs, you will gain access to skills you can use while playing other classes as well.

For the “Monk”, you can use a handful of skill you get from both the Lancer, as well as the Marauder class.

You can unlock the Marauder class in Limsa Lominsa, so be sure to unlock that class when you visit Limsa Lominsa through the Main story quests. (^_~ )

To give you a good idea which classes there are in the game, here’s a little list mentioning which classes you can find in which city:
