I hope you guys don't mind a random stranger popping in with her own plans before the new expansion. Thing is is that despite having the game since launch (2.0), I stopped playing for an extremely long time and now I'm very behind on a lot of things. I'm not 100% sure what my goals are, especially when I keep reading posts mentioning things I've never even heard of lol. What I know for sure is that I love the lore in this game and I love unlocking more zones and dungeons/raids. I also really like achievements but they'll hafta wait before they become a priority.
My goals before Heavensward:
- Try to finish as many quests as possible.
Obviously the main story is first priority though.
- Get the upgraded relic staff for WHM
I know gear wont matter much by the time Heavensward is out buuuut I just really wanna get that done if nothing else gear-wise.
- Unlock all raids and dungeons and complete them
Coil is the obvious exception to this.
- Get as much beastmen rep as possible... if possible with everything else I need to do.
- Level up other jobs/classes for their lore and cutscenes.
I'm sure this list will get longer as I discover more things, and see how far behind I really am. Also I'm tempted to do the chocobo racing thing, but that can wait.
Oh and I want to try and grind for cool gear my WHM can wear, though it's not really a priority. Gotta say I'm loving the soldiery set that I'm almost done with. :D - Try to finish as many quests as possible.

Since we'll be able to convert the Soldery Tomes to Poetics, i've spend 1300 Tomes to get the 10 Rowena Tokens for an Ironworks Astrologian weapon. Fabrication (crafting station) looks amazing and gives Large previews of Parts for airships and houses.
Fabrication takes some time to create rather then being instantly complete (It's an automatic craft though). Yoshida Crafted a Hull and it took about 1 minute.
A party of crafters will be needed to Fabricate (some) items rather then just 1 crafter.

You can have up to 4 FC airships registered.
All FC get 4 - no matter is the land is S, M or L.
See a preview of the airship you will deploy, choose its route, you can see what areas are unlocked for you on the display map.
The airship can go to multiple destinations (Time away will be lengthened) eg. 3 destinations at once takes 24 hours
Voyages will be expanded on throughout 3.X
You can change the parts (How it looks and its stats such as speed) of your airships. So each piece is not permanent.
Parts and the Airships have different Ranks. Going on voyages gives you EXP up on the airship.
Your airship can discover new islands.
Your airship can bring back recipes for new parts (i might have misheard it but same diff)
Airships could even be away for a whole week! You should plan your voyages.
There will be a flight log that tells you where it went and what items were discovered.
FCs can use information exchange to find out where certain items are.
You might hit a mother-load and get many items! Or a single very rare item.

Fist Bump emote, Twintania mount, Red Chocobo seem to be exclusive to the new friend recruitment campaign in which you earn ''Chocobo feathers'' and trade them in for the prizes. 8 for chocobo and 15 for Twin.
Twintania mount does a 'divebomb barrel roll'
You get 5 feathers + fist bump emote for just inviting a friend (invite 3 friends = 15) (I think)
You also get bonus feathers if they buy subscription time
150 days, 210 days and 270 days all receive 5 gold chocobo feathers each tier
Previous recruitment friends and their subscription times do count towards this since they are INVITER rewards
Invitee rewards now include fist bump emote, 99 aether tickers and 10 silver chocobo feathers
Silvers are used to buy some gear that makes LOW level adventuring easier.

So exercise common sense and only join Pre-made parties in which you agree with the loot rules.

Trade tokens from coffers in for gear. (A number of them will be in a coffer, might be adjusted in future)
One token can be obtained/person a week.
1 Token A can be turned in for an accessory.
4 Token B's can be turned in for a body piece.
You can play the same turn/level as many times as you like in the week. It's like CT/ST/WoD.
