Issue started Tuesday afternoon randomly. Maybe unrelated. Notice dropped packets when pinging Google.com, couple every minute or so.
Worse when i get into the game or do anything streaming. Netflix ect.
Time Warner said that my line was getting low power to it so it might be an actual issue unrelated to this thread. Working with their NOC and got a tech scheduled for Monday.

I'm very glad I finally managed to get back in on the 4th of September after the maintenance, but it seems my relief was premature. I constantly get error 90000 whilst playing the game, at different intervals. Sometimes, it'll only be 5 minutes after logging in and other times, at least an hour after I've started playing. I didn't have this problem before the maintenance, probably because I didn't really get to play the game due to error 1017. Still, I'm glad one of the problems is fixed, some game is better than none.

Character: Minerva Rigauld
ISP: Shentel
Location: United States, Virginia
Occurrence: Pretty much consistently when I log on ever since Sept. 2nd.
Usually occurs 5-10 minutes after I start playing no matter what I do, then error 90000 pops. Large lag spikes 20-30 seconds long from that point onward. It seems its just this game that does this because none of my other online games or programs experience lag spikes and talking to a representative at the ISP, they reported no issues with my connection to their servers and that my modem was working properly. Rerouting through a VPN alleviates the issue but only temporarily.
Bump on this because it's not our ISPs, its your montreal servers. My friend also plays from here and he doesn't have this problem on his account.

It seems like every time I use the Duty Finder or when I am in a populated area the rubberbanding begins. It makes it impossible to learn fights like HM Titan when everything stops moving then speeds up into a nuke right on top of your head and you can't avoid it.
PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS ASAP.

Honestly, I assume there is multiple issues, and some on SE's side. I have been experiencing throttles yesterday and today. I'm talking about 20-30 second delays. This makes the game unplayable. Overall, excuse my language, but there has just been a lot of shit lag period. It got better after the scheduled down time, but it is STILL there. Constant lag on brand new slim PS3 in any populated area. Constant delays for skills and abilities which is just about in any zone. Throttles inside dungeons. No other game performs like this for me, just FF14.
I can't even DPS in a dungeon because of all the issues. I refuse to believe Verizon is the only culprit here, especially when COD performs fine and I maintain 30+ mbps, which is FAR beyond healthy for online gaming. I just don't get how servers are the issue here.

I just started getting this today... major lag, then everything freezes, then 90000 errors kicking me off twice while on dungeon then also while I was running around grid. In most cases I got on within a few minutes. Many of my LS mates have said it is happening to them as well.

has anyone called RCN? What did they tell you? Is this something that can be fixed? Please help us SE!!!! :(
Hvinire,
Maybe we are talking about 2 different issues in this thread and this thread has got off track from the original subject. But what most of, if not all (minus the non-believers), are experiencing is NOT related to our ISP's. I have contacted my ISP (NTT/OCN Fiber) and they do not throttle P2P even if it was the case. So that doesn't explain why the router connected to your guys router is messing up while EVERY other router is pinging just fine within the network. This is while I am not even in the game. And we all know PING is NOT a P2P connection. I have been pinging the heck out of all these routers from me to the NA/EU servers, with only that specific router, your router, and servers loosing any kind of packet loss. Please check your router and get in contact with Ormuco and fix this issue.

See any patterns??
Last night has been the first time I have been able to play without these issues. Logged in at 20:00 to be shocked that I was not lagging. Went round various zones where I have hit the error 90000 but it was perfectly fine. Will see what tonight brings
apparently with the program Spotflux (vpn) all my lag is gone and I am able to play. So far it's been about 10-15 minutes but I haven't had any disconnect or lag. try it out and let me know
RCN: Waltham, MA
Edit: I think Spotflux redirects your traffic so we can skip over the bad hop from Ti or whatever. This might be a solution guys!
Sadly it isn't a fix to the real problem. Spotflux does work. it lets you play the game but i shouldn't have to use other softwear to play ff14. thanks for posting the info on the work around but i am still holding out for a real fix. also Spotflux doesn't allow you to use Ventrilo or Team Speak
