I can't agree more. Yoshi-P and crew did a wonderful job. SE has a long history of strangling projects by ghetto tactics. They lost the talent that made them what they are with this attitude. They bought Enix to replace the talent including Hinorobu Sakaguchi, the creator of Final Fantasy! How do you let someone like him leave?! FF deserves better a company, like say Mistwalker?

If nothing else, I'd like to thank the dev team for making 1.2-1.23 FF14 enjoyable for me >_>

Thanks for not giving up, please continue to work hard. It's a bumpy start but lets remain vigilant. I just wanna play the game, even if it means taking it down for a while and sorting everything out if that helps any. It's a shame to lose free play days but I can hardly even log in as it is right now anyway.

Enjoying every minute of it - taking my time. The weather, scenery, and lore really immerse you into this world - you don't see many MMO's that really do that anymore. Great job, and thanks, having a blast!!!

I understand how much work has been put into this, the blood, sweat, and tear. To OP, thank you for starting this thread. I only hope that the developers get some glimps of it before it is lost in the mountain of fire the rest of this forum seems to be.

Thank you Naoki Yoshida for lying about the quantity of quests, particularly that it would be possible to level multiple characters using quests. I would like to see how much more you lie about, please look forward to it.

I hope the word "magnificent" translates, because that's the word that comes to mind so often when I'm playing this game. Well done!

I didn't have a lot of hope in V2 after playing beta, but . . .

Some of the zones are just amazing. The artwork is incredible and that's really awesome.

The dungeons are beautiful and the fights are fun. The combat may be a little boring solo but it's very fun in a group and it can get quite... beautiful. The last boss of sunken temple is like artwork. It's just gorgeous.

The story is really good and I love love love the Sylph.

Oh and class quests and guildhests do a reasonable job at training a person, which isn't something I've really seen in any other mmo.

I thank thee that I havent been able to login since Friday evening. I mean since I have a full time job I only really get the weekends to play games, so it's not like had high hopes to enjoy FFXIV ARR. Thank you for having the worst launch release since Anarchy Online, whcih released 12 years ago. Really, thank you for learning nothing about MMO launches in the last 12 years. Finally, thank you for saving me $12.99/m because after this debacle I'll go back and play GW2 for free. Fanboys can have FF. The rest of us value our time and money.

thank you for the awesome login game i play with the server everyday i try to login! I would like to enjoy the wonderful content of this game, but at the moment Im still trying to beat the login game to get into playing the real one.

P.S. fanboys should face reality and admit that there are indeed issues with the game instead of trying to ignore the elephant in the room.

This game is a wonderful reboot and has captured my attention fully. I know when all these issues are fixed, FF14:ARR will be a wonderful AAA mmo.

SE and even the Devs, please don't beat yourselves up over these issues. Your response to the community has been terrific, and your understanding of our concerns is appreciated.

i cant even patch the game cause of server errors so at this point im over it ill never buy another square product such a hard fall from grace rip SE

The game is good but how they have handled this launch has been unbelievably poor to say the best. Credit where credit is due in regards to the actual game but given as how I've seen very little of it over the last week I am fairly jaded about this game and this launch has pretty much confirmed for me that it will not be worth subbing to given the poor response from SE in fixing the server issues in a timely manner.

i love this game, its got such huge potential for growth its mind boggling. its had faults and issues like most always online games do but you cant take away how fun this game is ;) ;)

Thank you for taking the original release of Final Fantasy XIV, which was so horrible an experience during the beta that it would make me curl into a fetal ball and cry for hours, into something that I knew the game could be and should have been from the get-go.

Thank you for taking my 30 dollars SE. I really appreciate this game you've created. I mean I love to look at my beautiful toon for hours upon hours, with the ethereal background blue with sparkles. I often enjoy my cup of coffee and look at my toon for hours. I wonder sometimes though, am I playing this as intended? Is there more to this game? For some reason I just cant make it passed this part of the game. 1017 has got ahold of me and im lovin it. Best 30 bucks spent in alongtime!

Yes, thank you SE. Thank you for the 3 year wait, the money long invested in a giant box CE paperweight. Thank you for remaking the game (WAY BETTER), but then failing to look at numbers and realize you needed more server caps, etc.

oh ya and one more thing. any person trying to defend "every mmo has launch problems" let me get one thing straight in your head:

Thank you, team! I'm loving the improvements to the game. The current storyline is great and I like the way you've blended bits of the old one and connected the states of the characters then to now.

Thanks for making something that promises to be one of the best MMOs I've played, and thank you for the response to user issues and suggestions. Listening and watching out for the community like this really says something about you guys overall. I know some people have had rough experiences with a few staff members or game problems, but I honestly think the majority of you are working hard and do care quite a bit. The team has been pretty generous with the consolations, so thank you for that as well. Please don't let the negative responses from the community discourage you guys. Hopefully everything calms down once the new servers are in place.

I wonder how people can thank for not being able to play.
I actually am not even trying anymore, since I can't even get a refund, I am just praying I'm able to play until my trial time is over. Cause I'm definitely not paying again for this trouble.

The FFXIV logon simulator has been hours of entertainment so far.

This is a wonderful game and though I still haven't been able to create a character on the server with all my friends, I'm still having fun playing around with a temp character on Moogle while I await my opportunity to really get into this game. Phase 3 was great and the little I'm doing now is great too. Though I'm trying to not play too much so that I can save the full experience for my eventual main character.

Game looks good haven't been able to logon in 5 days, we have already moved server once would rather not have to re roll again.

Learn from others mistakes.

In 2004 a small game launched..
They were swamped..
But they had an afk kicker..
They had a queuing system of 1000+ that didn't kick you..
Took 1-2 hours to logon but at least you knew and could..
It was epic!

I've been playing FF with my sons since the old Nintendo days when the characters were tiny thumbnails. I'm now in my sixties and my sons are pushing 40. We still play together. FFXIV has brought back the fun of working together to finish a story-line or beat a big boss. My reflexes are slower now and I was timid about playing with a bunch of young strangers in an on-line game. However, playing the Beta convinced me that old gamers can still play and I am happy to say that most players have been courteous and supportive. The grand-kids are too young to play as yet. However, they aren't too young to read the dialog and hum the music while Daddy plays. I know we are building the next generation of FF players and I hope the cousins will continue the tradition of the family playing together. It is a great way to spend time with each other even though geographically apart. Thank you, Square Enix and the entire team for creating a tradition worth preserving.

Dear yoshida and everyone at Square-enix,my honest respect and understanding goes out to each and everyone of u for the hard work blood and sweat that made a realm reborn happen,it must've been a incredible challenge to rebuild from the ground up this truly awesome title ,final fantasy 1.0 was in origin a masterwork yet felt broken and uncomplete,yet A Giant rose up that changed everything,yes yoshi! U are that giant, a titan who took on the huge challenge!which to me could only be achieved by hard work,courage, loyalty and faith in the Great company that is Square-enix ,Final fantasy XIV is reborn !! Bringing yet other challenges and complications that as we speak make our reborn realms almost impossible to enter,bringing with it alot of angry and upset people,yet im not one of them,I understand the pressure and hard work u must have! You know I would like to thank them for the little things. Every other mmo I've played when you put rings, bracelets or necklaces on your character all it was an addition to your stats. This is the first game for me that you put on a ring and it shows up your put on a necklace your wearing it. Its those little things that make a game for me.
