They're literally never going to get rid of savage, and highly unlikely to get rid of ultimates. Getting rid of the only raid content worth doing is a surefire way to lose a very large portion of the playerbase.
The fact that this game has no Anti Cheat to begin with is appalling.
If you look at the weekly bans they are pretty much only RMT related.
How can we take a game seriously if they don't even attempt to prevent cheating??
There is a big misunderstanding around that for some reason the only form of measures that can ever exist measures are EAC-level spyware, while that is 100% not at all the case. Fact is, there are basic and non-intrusive safety measures that ff14, being built on spaghetti and bits a pieces of 1.0, plainly lacks, implementing which would already be a roadblock. Such as just verifying game's own files, enforcing use of SE's native launcher or properly verifying data being sent from clients/encoding data sent to clients. But it would also be a very grand undertaking hence why I find it unlikely to happen.
I play all types of games and 99 percent of online multiplayer games with a competitive aspect use anti cheat software. The toxicity on this forum knows no bounds. If you have a wooden pc that is on you, all my games run just fine.
Allowing cheaters to have free reign with a near zero chance of getting caught is not healthy for any game do some research pls before posting about things you have no clue about.
With that attitude towards anti cheat it's apparent you are cheating in this game currently.
Anti cheat is not a one and done solution because many people still cheat in games with anti cheat software. At least there is a chance of getting caught. Having zero systems in place to detect cheaters other than seeing them use software on a stream is indeed appaling.
With that attitude towards anti cheat it's apparent you are cheating in this game currentl- wait let me read this line one more time. "With that attitude towards anti cheat it's apparent YOU ARE CHEATING INTHISGAMECURRENTLY!?
Oh boy! this is wholefully rich! I didnt expect to actually be impressed by the level of durr I've witnessed today
This is one of the most disingenuous points anyone could ever make. You can not physically do your rotation, and calculate the numbers flying on your screen with your calculator at the same time. You could not do this real time. It doesn't matter who you are. Stop making this cringe post over and over. ACT makes it realtime, ACT makes it automated, ACT makes it possible. Nobody in the world can do what you are suggesting. You can't do what you say you could "if you really wanted to". What a delusional remark that keeps being parrotted over and over for some insanely inappropriate reason.
"ACT just makes it easier to read" lol. Cope with being a cheater.
Of course you can't do it during a fight. No where did I say that. I am talking about after the fight. Which is where ACT comes into play. Most people don't pay attention to ACT during the fight because you cant really do much during the fight to fix issues, you can look at your dps number during the fight but it is meaningless in the moment because you can't just press a button and fix it. Its after the fight, when you are looking through the logs to break down the fight, which is what I was talking about. People who don't use it seem to think we stare at the program during the fight which isn't the case its a turn it on and forget about it till after the fight thing. You may glance at it from time to time but for the most part it just sits there going unnoticed till you wipe and or beat the fight and can look at it.
Shows dps and damage percentile in real time. It works exactly like recount only with different ui and maybe less features. It's hard to say because I don't break ToS and am unfamiliar with cheats. I can see from a simple screenshot that it is functionally the exact same as recount or details though: a real time performance metric.
If you really believe that having real time access to your performance won't influence your gameplay in a positive way, you're just out of touch and clearly coping with using a performance enhancer. "I still have to press the buttons", yeah, and you're doing it with external assists telling you exactly how proficient you are doing real time. If you didn't have these assists, you would have to just base your performance on your own natural ability and nothing else. Everyone who has used a real time damage meter knows that the real time feedback makes your performance way tighter. Then there is the toxic comparisons we make against other players while we're on top. It's just not good for the game, and it's not in line with the fundamental values of fair play.
This game is a joke, just like every other mmo that supports addons like this. They say one thing, but then do nothing about the issue. There is no grey area as far as I can tell. It's just all greenlit by company that must not really care about integrity.
I don't believe it's okay in WoW, but since it is not against ToS it is technically not cheating and I have to use it to stay relevant in that game. In this game it is different because staying "relevant" means breaking ToS, so that's a huge conflict of interest. But in WoW it's allowed, so there is no internal conflict.

SE has a million and one problems at a fundamental level, but this isn't even on the long list of things that they need to fix, both as a company and with this game.
I will be just fine. I haven't done anything report worthy. :)
Those people who never set a foot in anything above Normal Raids sure have a lot to say about how the game should be played.
Isn't red mage the easiest class in game? You use addons, play the easiest class, and attack people who cleared content for a few weeks. Never cared to get it on farm status, never cared to parse, never cared about anything other than clearing it.
You are a walking infraction and you're for sure going to get banned over this thread. Take care buddy, the community will be better off without your toxicity. Hope you find a new hobby to replace this one you're about to lose.
Again, you have no idea how ACT works and now you're resorting to strawman arguments because I called you out on this. The numbers on ACT aren't what tell you stuff, it's when you upload it to FFLogs, ESPECIALLY if you're a job like dancer, because there are two different types of DPS in this game.
Then why are you even here? To whine and stir the pot? You're welcome to leave the game at any time if it's such a joke to you.Quote:

"It's okay for MY side to throw out insults because we're on the side of INTEGRITY!"
Hint: If your side has to resort to attacks and insults because people disagree with you, you're not very high on the integrity chart. And the anti-mod people have thrown out WAY more insults in these threads.
Once again, no idea what you're talking about LOL. There are quite a few jobs easier than RDM.
Because it's a great RPG experience and I love the feeling of playing it casually? I am critical of the people invalidating the concept of fair play in it, I am critical of square enix enabling the people to disrupt the playing field. This lack of fair play makes it impossible for me to take the game seriously, but I would like to. Just not like this.
Why are you here? To parse?
Bruh I WELCOME you to take a gander at my FFLogs. Go ahead, I'll wait here. For a "cheater", I sure do have some low parses! It's almost like your entire argument is a massive strawman that holds no weight behind it because you literally do not understand the subject, as it is applicable in FF14 and NOT WoW, to have an educated opinion. Which is FINE, everyone has to start learning somewhere, but until you actually, you know, educate yourself on the subject, you should stop acting like your words carry any weight when you make ridiculous statements that are objectively false.
