Is DPS'ing as a Healer Vote Kickable?

I have actually been vote kicked or harassed for DPSing, ironically. Even when I am actually healing. A lot of people get mad if they don't see cure spam, or regen by a white mage - they assume you aren't healing.

I think it's more that since we know his name, we know not to click on his threads because 9/10 times it's just gonna be something trollific. So necroing old threads is their new strategy because not everyone checks when the thread was made, nor when the last post before his was.

It does work by posts. But if he necros an old thread, it shows the name of the original starter of that thread and not his so you don't go all "Oh this topic was started by BroFists/TitanMen, I'll pass on that thanks". Once he necros one of these years old threads, all he needs is one person to post after him so you don't see his name as the most recent poster on the forum topics. It's the perfect camouflage to basically troll the bajeesus out of everyone. It's basically the purpose of his posts from what I can tell.

I'm guessing too many people are ignoring him and he apparently wants attention so desperately he's started necroing old threads rather than starting his own.

As silly as that is on the whole, both kicking for dpsing and kicking on a bad assumption... I have seen plenty of "healers" who spent more time dpsing than healing, to the active detriment of the group. Like, not healing unavoidable damage, and then continuing to spam stone with more than enough time and mana to res even after people are lying on the floor.

Happens more often than I'm a fan of personally.

Wait, are you saying now that my WHM should be killing stuff? I'm sure I signed up to some hippocratic oath or some such.

I would say just the opposite is true here, in WOW healers only heal, in FFXIV everyone DPS's, healers also heal, and dancers, and some caster DPSs does Rezzs, and some tanks self heal, and Black Mages stand in the Fire.

Yes! I got kicked for not dpsing.... Also, the tank was terrible as well as the DPS in that group xD

That's really unfortunate... Seems like you can't win when healing :/ whether or not you dps or not someone will get mad and kick you
