I TALK TO SOMEONE ON CHAT AND THIS IS WHAT THEY TOLD ME "The error you are experiencing is a known issue caused due to Technical Difficulties with all North American Data centers, the issue itself is certain internet service providers are not able to pass through the loading screen after the character selection screen. We do apologize for that inconvenience. You may check for updates on the Lodestone, as we are keeping everyone informed of this issue. We have to apologize as well as there is no ETA on how long it will take to fix this matter."

Losing a whole day (possibly more) of game time. Woo!

Sad thing is, we're not gonna get any sort of compensation for this.

I was able to connect VIA mobile hotpsot up until 2 hours ago, so now its just getting annoying.

Are you letting WTFast pick the network route or are you picking it yourself? I was only able to log into my alt after I picked a route. Logged out and tried to log into my main but I keep getting the 2002 errors trying to reconnect to the data server in game.

im wondering how many of us are using cox cable internet. I received an email from they saying they are now charging for internet by how much we use. maybe this is the problem

I'm using Cox, but we don't get emails from them, just regular mail. Haven't noticed anything though.

Na. I'm using charter and have the problem. It seems to be a major DDOs attack on all ISP in the US it seems. And then some...

My question now is, is it ok to be using WTFast or VPNs in the first place? If not then I would rather just wait this out.

I just used WTFast and picked a UK network route and got in with no issues.

To rephrase my question, I mean is it ok in accordance to the TOS. This isn't something we would know upon first use. If there is no clear answer then it may be best to wait.

My Husband and I both just bought this game earlier this week on the advice of some friends after trying the free trial.

We're both disappointed that we cannot get in tonight as we're really enjoying the game.

Actually, this is a very rare, and very odd occurrence. Happens much less here than with some other MMOs that shall not be named.

Am on cox as well as my brother. We both are having issues connecting to our main characters. However we both are able to make chars on other NA servers and connect without issue. I know Cox they have been nerfing monthly quotas slowly and I did hear a rumor next month they are going to start charging for data overages but pretty sure that is unrelated to this... When I tether my phone to my laptop I am able to connect fine though. So while it may be an issue with COX, I don't think the issue is cox specifically since I can get on different servers just not the main char I usually play. It's honestly just weird. Du Du du du (X files song)

Good to know! Just really anxious to play. Have 2 quests I couldn't finish this morning by myself and now my Husband and guild mates are available. But the game is not!!

Me too! Working on an audit for eleven hours today, and just looking forward to coming home to play FF with the hubby. :(

There's talk of it being a DDoS attack on the ISPs. I just did some reading up on the "Mirai botnet". Scary stuff.

For those in waiting.. try pingzapper.. use los angeles tunnel.. iw as able to install and get in quickly with a trial. WTFast had problems with windows 10. I am playing now. \o/

So just FYI. I've been on Twitter trying to see if few people can dig more info like Tom Merritt from DTNS podcast says cant find any info on this outage. As we are discussing it Level3 decide to say this.

I managed to get in by cancelling the world full queue window then trying to get in immediately after. See if this helps others and if it does reply, could help them pinpoint issue.

I find it weird that I can log into every other data center, but the primal, where my characters are on, keeps erroring with a 2002. ;_;

I tried this. Unfortunately, no dice. It just booted me on that attempt.

The one time I was able to get inside the game everything was laggy. Couldn't do any actions or mount/dismount. Chat was working so I could tell my FC I was having issues but then the game disconnected on me. So I guess I'll try again in a few hours or tomorrow.

Just checked with my isp provider. They ran a ping test to the square enix ip address and the return ping is timing out. They pointed towards a server issue on square enix end. Not having any issues connecting to anything else. Hope that helps.

Not necessarily true. A router is down somewhere.

I have been trying all day, I can log into alt's on the Goblin server, but when I try to log into my main on the Goblin server I am getting the same 90002 and various other errors that everyone is getting. This is getting kind of ridiculous.

Ping doesn't reveal routing issues. The problem is routing based.

I was in the Halloween dungeon and it froze then kicked me. I get 10105 error every time I log in. It has been almost 24 hours and still no good. Please help. Just re uped my sub yesterday and then this.
