Now Casting Models for Eorzea's Next Top Model (Cycle 2!)

Casting ended D; i thought you weren't going to start til cycle 1 ended on the 11th before your vacation. *cry*

Tomorrow night (6pm eastern time) Ill be on for screen caping if any of the models in Balmung want to help me out with a cycle 2 video.


Ill have instructions ready when all the models are submitted so that models in different severs can have the ability to capture some video.

Thank goodness for the 2 day extension haha, been so wrapped up with everything that I haven't had much time to set up outfits and find places to start grinding out screenshots. xD 1/3 done though...I think, hard part is deciding if I want to wait for the moonfire faire and its yukatas and see if there is a place for them to fit in before I finalize some of my pictures, risky business waiting to long though. ._.

Hey guys! Just a heads up, in photoshoot 2 you must have the "title of photoshoot" in the background in someway. This is a scenic "name of photoshoot" shot, so mountains or trees do not fit the theme at all.

I wont be on Morina! :(( sometime after tge 16 you can film rongi? ^^

The pictures are looking absolutely awesome guys! I've noticed every time someone makes a mistake and i tell them to resubmit, somehow they take a picture that raises the bar for everyone xD

Can we talk about Preliminary Voting? For the first round there is 40 models to choose from. I'm thinking let voters choose their favorite 5, 8, or 10. The votes plus the 5 judges scores should help narrow down the models right? In round 1 Votes count for 1 point, judges can score 0-3 for a total of 15 points if all judges give a 2. (Judges scores are used to offset the people who have their friends vote for them regardless how good their photo is.)

Let me know what you guys think. These preliminary rounds are hard due to the number of people haha. Once we get to our top 16 we will go back to the top 3 votes.

We'll just have to make a Behemoth Vid then >=D

Could probably do it by race/gender first :o? Voters choose 6 (3 Male and 3 Female) Since it's a prelim~ Thus top 30 are chosen.

Top 30, voters choose 2 male and 2 female from each race/gender~ Top 20

(OR)

Voters chose 2 male and 2 female from each race/gender in the top 40 thus making it a double elimination knocking it down to Top 20 :o


-The race/gender prelims- 2* day vote period?

-Since there are 5 races... 2* day vote period for each race (not all 5 races at the same time)would take up 10* days?

* = Days depending on host :o

Is this about the Preliminary Rounds 1-3? Or something down the road (Round after the Preliminaries)?

I imagine he's referring to preliminary round 2's photoshoot. There's a specific natural-geographic thing he mentions in the directions of the shoot that people may not be including in the actual screenshot.

Preliminary photoshoot 2! Haha sorry. Some people have submitted pictures with mountains and forests as the background with no sign of a "preliminary shoot 2 name" at all so i am trying to clear that up hah.

Preliminary rounds are going to lose 8 each time
40 start
32 after PR1
24 after PR2
16 after PR3

Too many votes will be a pain in the butt to count...

If we eliminate one person from each race/gender in each preliminary round, we'll be left with a top 10, not a top 16 and that will shorten the contest. I dont want to do that. So i can't do it that way.

Prolly going to do a "choose 10 favorite" and add up only the names that appear. The 8 names the appear the least/not at all will have to hope on their judges scores to keep them in the contest.

..just not looking forward to pages of 10 name votes to count. Hah.

Yea, i'll prolly just stick with that. Seems the most fair.

OR base it on race for prelim round 1 (eliminate 10) and 2 (eliminate 10) and then in round 3 eliminate 4 based on 5 favorite votes.

Oooo i like that idea. Hopefully voters dont get confused with how to vote.

With the shots I've submitted and the competition that we have here, I feel like I won't even make it past the prelims even though I really like the shots I got ;_;

Yeah, I have one shot that's pretty nice, then the alternate version of it is pretty comical but sort of shifts focus from myself that I could risk submitting. Ughhh! XD

You should see some of the nightmares I have taken for shot 3.

And I done even have any that I am 90% in love with to submit yet..

Out takes sounds hilarious. xD I've been scrapping my 'fail' shots, but some of them would be entertaining to keep around. I'd also love to see others'!

I want all the models involved if I can get them. Its just easier to get them myself which is why I suggested meeting up for the models in Balmung. The other models will have to do some work I use HyperCam to capture in game footage if you need help with the settings let me know!

HEY guys Im online now going to work on the first shoot with Santherelle! friend me tell me Morina Winterfell :D in Balmung.

I had lots of fun doing this. I can't wait to see the end result.

I'm curious, is anyone else struggling with the "it could be anyone?" issue? lol. I keep rethinking my third shot, since I submitted an awesome pic that includes my face, but I have another, more powerful shot, but you can't see my face, hair... anything. Just my general body silhouette. So I keep thinking "Well that could be anyone, why would I submit that?" Am I just being too picky or has this come up with others? >_>

I have a similar problem.

The shot is composed awesomely all the elements line up to make it a wow picture... except for me I just look kinda ... there.

Sadly, I'm right there with you lol. The third shot is causing me the most grief and I can't seem to get something I'm happy with. I'm afraid if I somehow make it past the first 2 prelims the third may be my downfall. xD It's one of those places where its hard to capture everything you want in the picture while still keeping yourself as the main focus, I suppose that is part of the challenge though. :)

Meanwhile, I'm over here with this first shot and I can't find anything I'm happy with XD.

All Models not in Balmung Please help me out in making a video for cycle 2 (Or models in Balmung that can not set up some kind of time with me)

NOTE: THIS IS NOT REQUIRED FOR THE COMPETITION. (a little video debut though is a nice introduction to your chr though :P)

Please download Hypercam on to your PC or any screen capture program. (If you are exclusively PC try to have a friend help you or if you are in Balmung I will make time to be online to help.)

I want a nice sequence of your chr which ever outfit you choose or angle as long as its attractive lighting where I can see a clear shot of your upper body and face. Give me a few options and cycle through emotes or poses, send me at least 2-4 minutes of footage.

This! So much this! xD Because of lighting at the specific spot I was at I would literally have like 5 minutes of screen shot time before the sun reached too high and messed up lighting for the rest of the day. Once that happened I'd go afk or so something else while waiting for the next day only to have it start raining or something right around screen shot time. @.@

I am sad that I can't do the video thing since I play on PS3. :( Though it's funny to me imagining all of this nice captured HD footage, everything all gorgeous and pretty, and then my clips are like, super ghetto of my cell phone recording my TV. Hahahaha. XD

Oh that is so sad, sorry for your loss. Try to get in touch with the judges or person running it, you never know they might give you a shot for this one. I think they have already asked the models to start taking shots for the shoot though so it might be too late for this one.
