I never said the end of 1.0 was perfect, and I disliked many of the changes made in 1.0. But they had a direction that is clearly different from what 2.0 is headed. That's why I feel tricked.

well i just wanted to say, i cant say how this game is going to be without actually playing it... nor you.
no reason to make all people crazy about my own "opinion" (i'd just say panic, flame or whatever) and open a new topic for every nitpicking thing. (although i think it is hardly to have an opinion by watching videos) REALLY.
i myself am watching the scenery till i can actually play it. its ok to have opinions and THOUGHTS about this and that. but you really can over do it.
and these people are heavily claiming they know how A Realm Reborn is going to be conerning this and that (WoW clone, because it has quests! ) without actually playing it. its ridiculous. and thats (like he said) based mainly on your and my imagination.
the more i see i actually think that not all has been changed that drastically like they think.. and thats my impression (imagination) about that. i in contrast think they will be disappointed that actually not THAT much has been changed in every way, i still THINK it will feel like the same game.
well i saw a video from guildleves in ARR which mostly worked and looked the same to me. so if you want you just can still do guildleves over and over (like in 1.0.) if you loved them so much.
they just added more content to it. is this a wrong direction to you, really?
ah well i understand, it is better to have a lesser choice of content..
people who want to grind, can grind, people who want to grind guildleves can do guildleves, people who want to grind quests can grind quests.. people who want to do public events can do "Fate", people who want to level in dungeon instances with a group can do so (there are more lowbe dungeons). people who want to enjoy story missions can still do so.
YOU have a bigger variety to chose from. thats the direction i see.
you behave like if there is only the choice of questing in order to level up (its WoW Clone!). it is exactly 1.0., except lower exp when you want to do pure mob grinding. guildleves + the options for quests (which also existed in 1.0.). for me its not that much of a difference.
but people like to flame.
One can look at and smell feta cheese, but until you tasted it you wont know if it was really any good or not. You are entitled to your opinion, just as others are entitled to theirs. An opinion is just that but at this point I would dare say it is not a fully informed opinion but thanks for sharing. In my opinion Coke-A-Cola is better than Pepsi, does that mean I think Pepsi drinkers are wrong for liking it? No. Have i based my opinion of the look of their can? No, I have taken the time to try it before declaring it is not my preference. Wouldnt you say it's the more honest thing to try it before basing your opinion on the snippets we have seen so far?
I watch Video Game reviews all the time but i do not base my liking of a game on just that review. I like to at least try a demo before deciding if it is for me or not. But i do not expect my opinions to sway you to think rationally about anything, I am expressing my views regardless in hopes others might at least try it before throwing in the towel.
You don't need to play it to compare with what you know from experiencing other MMOs. The features being added do not exist in a bubble. And some of the issues people have with it are based in the themepark structure. I'm willing to try it out myself first, but that dosn't mean the game is a total mystery to me.
