Could you please provide a link to this guide? I'd like to see what it has to say about the other roles.

Let me spell it for you because apparently the point was missed. EVERY single player should do their job, tank to pull, dps to dps, and be mindful of the pace. The tank should not be a snail, and the DPS shouldn't pull ahead. Everyone should cooperate and work towards clearing the dungeon at a reasonable pace and with as little friction as possible.
In even simpler terms, to be a decent human being.
if the tnak is to slow and i'm on DPS i pull for them no matter the dungeon, tanking in this game is so simple and easy and its literally optimal todo big pulls and use your burst attacks against them
Okay but unless there are some extreme circumstances like having spam Adlo/Cure 2/Benefic 2/Eukrasian Diagnosis, or needing to spam rez(only really applicable in raids), the Healer should never be even close to run out of mana, Lucid Dreaming enables perfect mana uptime. I had exactly *once* in my years playing where I almost ran out of mana in a dungeon, it was a Stone Vigil run where I just told the Tank to go as hard as they wanted, wtw every time, I had to spam Adlo to get through, I never saw my mana above 8k that entire run, we were in and out in under 10 minutes, absolute 10/10 dungeon run.
Maybe that was more of an issue in ARR/HW days, to my knowledge mana management was much more complicated then, but not in the current game.
Probably it's been a while since you played really low-level dungeons. For example, WHM mana regen is ass before Lillies and thin air. Being mindful of a healer's mana is a good mindset to have.
Regardless of what it used to be and how it is, some people don't know how to optimally play this game. Shocker, I know..
I literally played one less than an hour ago, as a Healer, just use Lucid Dreaming, just press it off CD, it's absolutely that simple, that has nothing to do with "optimally", knowing the extremely simple way to not ever need to be concerned about one of your primary resources should be the bare minimum.
Like I said and I fully stand by it, unless you are literally spamming your tier 2 heal GCD and doing absolutely nothing else, you will never have a single risk of running out of MP, and all it takes is a Role skill that you get bellow the level of the very first dungeon in the game.
Then you are the one with the problem if you are in my run. You pull you keep it. Pulling in front of the tank just slows the run down even more as the tank has to use 2-3 GCDs to get those mobs back. I wont waste more than one attempt on anyone trolling me like that. I reported the last troll last night due their parting comments when he left. The rest of the group were not impressed by him/her. I am not a slow player by anyone's standards. Play how you want when you play solo, but when you are in a group then show some respect to the group.
I find the same. Some tanks take a lot of healing and others manage just with hots. However, I had one healer who had issues with something. He could not heal one pack at a time. Every time I looked there was no mana left. Do you slow down for people who clearly have issues, or do you plough on faster and make them work?
