I actually like Wuk, but I do agree that she overstayed her welcome. Too much of something makes you grow tired of it

Look at how Tuliyollal looks a week after a devastating attack.

Then look how Rhalgar's Reach looks 7 years after a devastating attack.

Ah yes, Rhalgr's Reach, the capital of Gyr Abania.

Not like we will ever get a full Ala Mihgo city so it pretty much is to us.

Lyse is much better.

Wuk Lamat has had less time but definitely enough for her to be better than what we got.

I like Lyse. The character actually had development. Allowed us to do our thing, whilst still growing as a person and becoming the leader that was needed of her. She even made a point of relying on others for guidance.

I've heard that the side characters with running gag bits are topping character polls over Wuk Lamat. She's being panned even harder than Lyse was, so I guess I'm on the right track!

Why does this even matter? Comparing Dawntrail's writing with other expansions will not make Dawntrail's MSQ any better or worse. It's bad and no number of comparisons will change that.

Mostly because certain people adore making false equivalency comparisons to Stormblood, saying that Dawntrail was of the same qualtiy - if not better than STB - which was also received in a very mixed manner, MSQ wise. Except, no. STB was shaky. But DT can't even be compared to it due to how awful this MSQ was.
