A new trailer AND Ul'dah in ruins? Can this day get any better?! :D
SE uses countless man years to produce a re-launch trailer.
Biggest gaming media online IGN reacts: Latest version update brings a new map system to XIV.
Damn. I can't help but feel like SE has a mountain yet to climb if they are to convince people that 2.0 is a bit more than a patch. Regardless of what you think of IGN:s quality this break in communication has alredy been seen by countless readers.
-Semi spoiler includes bits about new fight-
I could see something like, the one who sacrifices himself put a barrier around the three nations meanwhile the beastmen use their primals to defend their homelands. What may most likely occur in the next VU is as the catastrophe draws closer even though we may have been victorious we are unable to stop Dalamud from making an impact. So we are ordered to speak with the beastman an create an alliance to protect Eorzea a land precious to both of us. We may attempt to awaken Titan/Leviathan to use their strength to weaken the impact of the moon. Titan controlling the earth to reduce the impact of Dalamud, Garuda's wind to slower the velocity, Ifrit's heat to absorb the heat resonating from Dalamud and Levi's control of the ocean to cool down the rock as well as perhaps weaken the impact of any more meteors landing on Eorzea
But ya overall I do see the next patches focusing on creating unity between all the races to reduce as much of the damage as possible from Dalamud's impact.
Not really. If that had been the case they would have gotten someone who can actually do good narration. Like the dude that did the intro for Warcraft III, or perhaps Patrick Stewart. If we were about 30 years in the past I would say Orson Welles, too.
You shall not speak ill of Sleipnir!
Thank you for posting this! So thrilled to have some new information. I am very happy with the look and feel of the site!

Thoughts on Trailer content:
1.Uldah destroyed?
a. That totally looks like Ul'dah goes boob and I would think that those ruins are Ul'dah. Ul'dah is round and so are these ruins.
b. "They said the City-States would remain relatively the same." How do you know they were not talking about the region rather than the actual city? Just theory, but, either way that looks like Ul'dah being destroyed.
2. We shall return
a. So Lousoux sweeps us into a time bubble while the world calms from destruction and we awaken to find ourselves in a new world.
- Okay so if only a few special people were saved the world must not have completely ended seeing as we will not be stepping into a barren land with minute signs of life and no government.
- I am really looking forward to the description of the story.
3. SNOW ZONE!
a. I request that /snowball is always available for use while in any zone that contains snow.
b. YAY!!!!!

Critiques:
As one person said, it still looks like the same old game. Yes and no.
1. It would be more enticing if you added the missing genders to the other races even in concept art form so that those exploring the site can see it and learn about it. We need to make sure we consider those who have not been following the game as closely as we are, the site would be their main form of information.
2. Posting the original concept art of the races is not a good idea. This brings us back to that above statement. We want these images to be fresh and new. Perhaps more screenshots of whats on Yoshi P.'s lap top and close ups of the races.
3. The trailer was visually stimulating but the trailer as a whole was diminished by the voice actor. Get the guy who did "It all began with a stone, or so the legend says." instead! There are more qualified individuals out their who's voice is more fitting for this.
Reasons:
a. He sounds nasally
b. His rough voice sounds forced
c. He sounds too young to be a story teller
d. He does not bring a feeling of epic-ness
e. He is not convincing
it funny how they re-used stuff from the old site.
Awesome trailer, really excited about 2.0.
