Perhaps they could tone down the skin reflectivity a little bit (I can see why they did it - real skin is always a little bit oily and photorealistic skin shaders usually incorporate that by adding a little amount of reflectivity, but it might be overtuned here or even unecessary given the less than realistic art direction), then again it's only a problem in some of the character creation scenes, which may not even have been reworked.

I can agree with you to some extent, but I feel like all the lip changes to both fem and male Viera was unnecessary and overall not an improvement. Graphics update? - yes please. Random change of character design? - no thanks.

God, I really hope it's an oversight on behalf of QA. I can live with everything else but the eyes on Veena being the same as Raava is absolutely criminal and something I refuse to live with.

Give my boy his long white eyelashes back pls... I picked the long lash option for a reason. It also seems like he got the darker nose many others lost, and I'd rather be without. Stuff like weird lighter eyebags and darker lips I can fix by tinkering with the options, but there doesn't seem to be anything to fixing his nose or lashes.
Meanwhile my veena lad lost his will to live, or suffered some very traumatic event, judging by his dead fish eyes. I'm honestly a bit creeped out writing this with him staring at me from the other screen.

I'm SO sad about how my bunboy's nose just looks dirty instead of like it has cute bunny fuzz TT__TT Also his lips seem sooooo much darker than before and it throws me off. I'm not very fond of it. The viera looked fine before and really didn't need an overhaul. The eyes look dead after losing the catchlight. Just update the graphics, not change features (looking at you poor moon keeper miqo'te havers. my sympathies for your fangs)

What on earth happened to the dark nose on face 1?

Thought I'd add my experience to this thread in the hopes that more feedback = higher chance of seeing improvements!

I'm overall pretty happy with how my main (Face 1 female Rava Viera) looks in the new graphics. It will for sure take some getting used to, but the positives (she looks so much better in low lighting!! her skin is lit so much better in general!) outweigh the negatives for me. There was just one minor change I will have to use a fantasia to fix, but overall my worries have been alleviated seeing her in the benchmark.

My Veena boy, on the other hand... he doesn't look *terrible* (and could honestly be a lot worse) but he's lost a lot of the things that I liked about his original model. Echoing a lot of the complaints by other face 3 Veena players, the loss of the larger pupils and the lighter face tattoos/eyebrows are my main sticking points. I really liked how my boy's brown eyeliner blended with his eyelashes before, but now it's so light you can tell it's separate...

I can change his eyeliner to black to sort of alleviate the problem, but that doesn't change that I preferred the brown, and that his eyebrows still look lighter than they should. Nor does it change the pupil size issue, which I'm really hoping is just an oversight!

So, yeah. I love face 3 viera boys specifically because of how pretty their eyes are, so I really hope we can get this worked out before Dawntrail ;-;

Those are the same char. I am concerned about my eye color being different and more warm, and with new lipstick you cant actually make your lips to look same with skincolor for a lot of skin options. The contouring of the face now makes it look wider, and the contour on lips is weird making them more flat. The eyeliner is more fat in the middle now and misses the nice bended line it had before.

One of the things I liked most about my character is gone.

I loved how expressive her eyes were, but in the benchmark, they appeared flat and lifeless. I also liked how defined her eyelashes were, but now they look blurred. Lips have also lost their sheen, which I felt was one of her charm points.

Please consider this feedback before releasing the changes.
