You talking about how individual reports can be discarded and you the higher it goes the more you have to do something works from an individual person level

That's how you as a person would handle it, from your perspective

that is not how CS systems handle reports lol. A single report can get you banned. The primary way people get actioned in FF14 is by 1 person reporting another and a GM clarifying with person 1 and then taking action if the circumstances justify it. The time scale is what matters more when you're talking about impacts from the number of reports. The more the faster. Not the more the more reasonable.

Idk, anyone who was actually upset at him over addons should literally have wanted this as their best case outcome, he stopped using addons so idk what else anyone could want

wanting him banned is wanting to be in charge of the process. SE is, and they didn't. So they should move on about that.


Streamers have a unique position here in the ability to showcase the benefits of addons to people who would otherwise not install them to find those benefits, that should really be most of the issue people have. Him actively removing them and stating he's doing so as to respect the ToS and situation around all of this, is setting the example of what is wanted ultimately so. Idk this should be good enough.

Good for him, hopefully he can have a more positive experience moving forward and can take the time to get the help he needs. I don't like seeing stories end in Scottzone-style fiascos.

Well, if true -- Pyro doxxed himself when he made a DMCA claim to one of the videos. So there is also that.

FFXIV was a mistake lmao.

I would not be surprised if he actually got doxxed, tbh.

If there's something you learn from being online for some time, it's that you can't always expect a measured response from the internet. I'm sure he's said some dumb stuff on stream, and you know what, maybe there is merit to reports, but who knows if it'll stop there.

Will pyro get banned? Probably not, SE isn't going through youtube or twitch looking to ban people.

Could he get banned? Yes, as shown with the streamer that was recently banned, all it takes is a group of people to report him.

I think the part that people are most upset about is the fact that the use of addons has turned into a report war, which is what the players and the developers did not want. So the conversation around what is cheating what isn't is not what people really even care about in this situation. What happened just shows how people can sway SE with mass complaints. It is to bad that does not work in job design in this game though.

Yeah lets leave the people who use assist bots for PVP and ranking up to Diamond alone.

But lets go after people who change a few things with their graphics and ban big streamers that give you publicity. Those guys are the real threat to the game....
