Can no longer gain spiritbond from open world enemies. That seems like something that sorta screws over BLU, and any future limited jobs.
Fishing log finally getting some requirements listed.
Status effects applied by player take priority. Very good.
Orchestrion search has been needed since inception.
Also holy hells, finally, the Armoire gets the pulldown adjustment. That was always the wildest thing, to not have "Inventory" being first on the list.
Spiritbond for gear is so easy these days. There's a glut of materia from multiple sources, and it doesn't really have to be gained by killing open world enemies. I doubt that there are many BLU out there (except for bots?) who really care if they get a Savage Materia I from spiritbonded level 8 hempen gaskins after killing X number of mobs in the East Shroud.
Perhaps. On the other hand, wouldn't their open world experience boost also translate to better spirit bond gain? Additionally, BLUs are just really good at killing open world mobs far above their level, for even greater/faster gains. And finally, there is a bit of a gap in low level materia availability, a niche BLU could potentially be fulfilling, for the sake of anyone progressing old ARR relics. Last I did one, that sphere scroll stage was kinda a pain, just for not ever gaining those materia anymore.
In short, while the impact may be minimal, it remains an option removed from the player. And, personal opinion, removing player options is always kinda unfortunate.
The Chimera could also benefit from last-second markers, but it's less critical because there are less patterns to memorise. It's simply one prompt for "in" and another for "out".
The game could probably do a better job of pointing out the enemy cast bar in the first place.
This game just needs more vul stacks. The first time you get hit by tons swing, ok not your fault. The second? Should be death, it shouldn't be something you just heal off.
Cutters Cry in general is sort of the first dungeon in the game to really test you, at least as a healer in my experience. The boss fights are challenging for that level, there are adds that need to be burned down immediately and debuffs that need to be cleansed right away. There’s even a mechanic that makes you blow up if you’re not careful.
Doing CC almost made me quit my healer multiple times.
