I have been following the discussion but I thank you for that little pot shot. It does wonders to actually add merit to your argument. Truly. Likewise that's pure speculation on your part. No one but SE knows where that resource allocation went and we as the players will never be privy to that information either - so ultimately such speculation is moot. For all we know the development funds that would have been slotted for a new Deep Dungeon actually did go into the development of the Bozja Citadel. Or went into the development of Viera and Hrothgar. Or even were used to pay for employee sick leave during the pandemic. We simply do not and cannot know what that potential development cost was or wasn't used for once the decision to end the Deep Dungeon content was made. What isn't speculation is what other types of content are being used to replace the old system or how COVID has affected the company as a whole, as SE has been very upfront with the challenges it has brought to their development cycle.
Ultimately what this is coming down to is a difference in opinion and words. You say it isn't being replaced by anything. It is in pure terms of function. You then say that you actually meant the development cost in spite of no such indication being in your original post. Fair, but also an inarguable point regardless of what opinion either of us might hold because we'll frankly never know.
