Adressing the roots of the housing problem

If they still have unsold housing today (that means, their price too high already), hardly I can imagine them sell for more when new wards are to open the day after.

I just try the new wards and wish all that resellers 46 days of internet breakdown and relogging with all their houses demolished.

Small houses. Today. They're selling access to the entire housing market, not just the plot.

At some point after Feb 6th, when the wards are all full and people are still thirsty for housing, they'll sell FCs.

That already is a semi common practice on locked servers. The thing is post 4.2, you will need 4 characters per FC and can only buy 1 FC per server vs. right now you can have 8 characters and buy 16 houses per server. Small improvement, but still an improvement imo

The safeguard for that is that those micro FCs would need to reach the rank to own a house first. So "overnight FCs" aren't gonna be an issue.

They have two to three weeks to level them. I'm not an expert on leveling a FC but I know we lost 3 people in our FC since the announcement who left to help someone who just started one for the purpose of getting a house. They aren't going to flip it but I'm sure there are lots who are probably doing the same thing.

It's really not that hard to level an FC to rank 6. I've done it once in 7 *hours* and I'm sure there are people who have done it even faster than that.

All it takes is a lot of (quick)crafting and handing in to grand company.

Has there been any word on if alts can access the house on the account?

It seems like a very basic thing they should have discussed. Because presumably, based on the system they've described, if I go and try to buy a second house with another character on the same world, I'll be blocked from doing so (so the game KNOWS that I have another house on another character).

Yup, you earn points both for the craft and for the turn-in. Alternatively, you could probably just unsync run lv51-59 dungeons (solo or in a group) in 5~7 minutes, pop the chests along the way, get the guaranteed drop for clearing (1~4 items depending on number of people involved) and turn the gear in. Not sure which is faster.

I believe the 48 (24? can't remember) hour timer is still in place - that is, you can't establish a new FC until 48 hours after you leave an FC - but that's the only bottleneck. You don't even need multiple high level characters since you can just place a lv1 alt as the FC master, drop your main, wait 48 hours and do the process again.

Just to note: The reasons they said they'd wait til just before servers came back up to release housing info (which it seems they didn't anyways) was to prevent things like what were mentioned.

Players can't try to game or work around the system ahead of time if they don't know how.

All these complicated rules and balance issues between haves and have nots would be fixed instantly if instanced housing was an option. Allow players to pick their plot size, allow them to upgrade sizes if needed.

Allow players to turn their plot into an FC owned plot so their FC, or any FC, could start up Airships/Submarines, and farming.

Having a gathering spot for your FC along with tasks to work together would improve the game immensely and instanced housing would fix everything.
