Request: Hempen Garb - Racial Unlock

Thank you for this thread. I'm definitely pro unlock, but these responses are next level. I haven't laughed this hard in awhile I literally can't breathe.

You say this like it's supposed to be a bad thing, but I would be blissfully happy if they did this. Males desperately need more shorts options, and most (all?) versions of the hempen pantalettes are unique shorts models.

the underwear doesn't bring any racial identity
especially with how frilly the female au ra set is
doesn't really match au ra at all
and the male elezen set is basically longer sleeve version of the shi sui sets for males

i think SOME of the hair could be open up to more races
not so much the ones with the actual spikes coming out but like the hime cut or the buzz cut

im all for more racial identity and clothing
but the hempen sets being locked is pretty dumb with how simple they all are

I think when it comes to the hempen sets, is that their variations are designed for the particular race/clan that wears it. Each variation would have to be redesigned to fit the mold of all the other races. I'm not opposing this restriction lift as far as the variations go as I really want the Highlander version for my Midlander, but it will clearly take some time for all the combinations. Considering how unappealing a lot of recent gear has been, I definitely wouldn't mind if they tossed some resources at this long awaited request.

The same could be said about Domans, but they get the spotlight. One is lauded while the other is demeaned... funny how that goes, nice to see how little the story means to some though. However i will give you points on the sandals though, i really hate those things and for the life of me can't find a foot option that goes with the set.

*sigh* Fine I'll say something "nice" about he Domans so in retrospect you'll be right ok? *ahem* The Domans at least give us nice sushi and with their freedom access to some nice and stylish property. IF the gear is suited to the climate, then all the races that live there are going to want to wear it. At very least there's a Hellsguard population that are going to have similar taste in gear.

I don't see any reason to assume they "roughly sew their clothing together" though - here or elsewhere. They wear the same types of neatly-made clothing the other races do, and have the same starter gear as Midlanders!
