Regarding the Centurio Tiger Mount

Again, they can keep the numbers the same if they just nerf the timers, primarily for the older S Ranks considering how fast they die.

I don't want fewer hunts, I would just like a better chance of actually being online when that S Rank does pop. Especially if I just spent three hours trying to spawn it personally.

why do ppl think QoL changes are nerfs? :/ seeing people throw the term nerf around as if they were a nerf gun lol.

i also think the 2K amount is a bit crazy. If anything change the way hunts spawn to a smaller radius so they are not in the way of low levels/gatherers, and change the spawn time to 1 a day.


Please stop with using the excuse of "rare" and "value" as no factor, you can disagree but using the term nerf is incorrect. this is an mmo no such thing as "rare" :) value is something you put on items yourself. Its tied to memories or personal achievement.

the achievement should have never been that high from the get go.

goblin was a dead server so hunts were not huge, they still aren't. Why should people mis out on something because of a server? seems cruel if you ask me. Also come off as spoiled.

please look up nerf before using it in a sentence, also look up entitled you mind find your picture next to it.

a few have been changed actually, a lot of the gather/fishing/mining achievements got reduced the "i found this" ones to get the blessed tools.

i don;t think you get why people are asking for changes. hunts are a hit or miss based on your server, they require you to be online at the time of spawn and based on the personal lives of the players, some can't log in during hunt timers. It also require teamwork as a ranks can be hit or miss on how well a person can solo them.

so if you are online happen to see a hunt mob, there is a chance people may not show up. You can sit for 30 min waiting for people.

Happen to me gf a lot on her alts, she would be leveling or gathering and come across a rank hunt. And no one would show up.

Nah, it rewards people who play 16 hours a day and don't do anything else in the game other than hunting.

Really? I feel ENTITLED for a mount that come for 2 years + of works that until recently wasnt even a thing? Thats not entitled, that called working for something. Something that most peoples arent used to actually do in this game, WORKING for a reward. There are lots of website to help you hunts, they tell you how and when to work on them. Website that are updated by the peoples who ACTUALLY hunts, not just moochers that want their shiny all of a sudden. You dont need 100 peoples to pop S rank, you only need yourself. Anybody can find a hunt LS on their server, just have to ask.

Exactly, this is a reward for peoples who spent years hunting. Whats wrong with that? Youre trying to say it like its a bad thing... I like working on S rank, for me its way more fun than wasting my time raiding or doing boring dungeons. And for once, we are actually getting something for it, after 2-3 years -_-

Is it impossible to get? Nope, not really.

Is it a pain to get? Definitely.

I for one do have much beef about how the tiger mount being rewarded the way it is, but I'll simply work towards it slowly and hopefully I'll get it by 6.0 (bitter laugh). If SE decided to make it easier to obtain then good for me, else I'll just grind at it one S rank at a time. Meanwhile I'm happy for my friend who got his own tiger mount.

In the end it simply boils down to one's perspective to exclusive rarity, and I don't think there's a right or wrong to it. I don't think our request to make it easier to grind for the reward is worth any more or less than your opinion to keep it rare such that it feels special, so can we at least respect each other's opinion instead of getting hostile at one another?

As long as there is people that got the mount, the request for a nerf is just a request to get things sooner.

I think that's the biggest thing about the way hunts are. I can't think of too many other things in the game that are in the open world that require such dedication. Anything else big is within sessions, so you can run it at your own pace, the biggest danger is that you won't get world first (and while that matters to some people, it doesn't matter for the achievement). Most of the other things that are in the open world, like FATE achievements, require you to complete it only the one time, so even if it takes a while it's done and over with. Hunts meanwhile punish you for not only wanting to play the game (time is a limited resource, if I want to farm the new raid for gear, ofc I won't have time to farm birds and puppies), but for things that are far more complicated like being in a different timezone or having a work schedule that aligns with when most S ranks are open on your server. I know for a fact that when I go to bed on Thursday after a patch that I'm going to wake up to a tracker filled with dead S ranks.
Now I could transfer servers, but I have zero motivation to do that, not to mention there's no guarantee it'll help. Then there's the fact that you can miss an S rank for doing something as simple as getting a drink.

To be fair, everyone's free to decide what to spend their game-time on. One of the side-effects of hunts being open-world content is that people feel like they can play the rest of the content in the game and still make it to hunts, and are upset when that's not true.

The relic and anima had certain steps that was done the fastest farming hunts im sure the new one for stormblood is going to require the same. Also some s ranks require you to do something special to make them spawn. Its actually not hard to look for a ranks and people that actively try to spawn s ranks are putting more work in than waiting for shouts then whining about early pulling. Even the community is responsible to record timers and what not which is what I respect about that asset. Some achievements are just meant to be gotten overtime now if we want to complain how about potd 200 solo still not done by anybody btw.

What the OP was suggesting was a QoL change, based on the fact that this achievement is closer the improbable to achieve category (spend a lot of time in the hunt game opposed to other things). This is also defined as a "nerf" in the requirements as the OP was requesting at least a halving of what is current.

The QoL changes with regards to hunt respawn timers has also been thrown into the mix. If that is done you can basically throw the community compiled data out the window, so much for 4 years of data.

I love the fact this is rare and it's taken forever in a day to get, it's some sort of trophy mount if anything else, and secondly it's a personal achievement.

Don't get me wrong, but the times I'm normally on, hunts are are a fairly dead thing (NA server, AU timezone). I'll be frank, a lot of times I wake up and a lot of hunts are dead, and I spawn things where I can.

Soloing hunts is a thing, yes, but that makes it harder for someone else to get their achievement.

There is always a chance people aren't going to show up, there is other content that people may be doing. 30 minutes of waiting is a freaking long time, you could be doing other things in that time.
