I don't want an easy weapon though. I like the relic precisely because it's a lengthy grind I can do at my own pace. Time weapons are too fast and easy to scratch that itch, it's like buying a McD's cheeseburger when you want something meatier instead.
It's almost like the community isn't a hive mind and different people like different things? I've never once felt the relic weapon was uninspired or boring and I never complained about it.
Ok my fault exact same number of quests with 3X the budget. I just made a statement that since they are not doing a new a race and per rumor, having about the same amount jobs, where did all if the extra money go. I'm hoping they put it towards some major quality of life changes. We don't have much information yet so we can only speculate. I know they did a lot for HW with a much smaller budget so I would think if we are not getting 3x the quantity, then we are getting 3x the quality.
Just a quick glance at the chat here, people sort of are already freaking out about the lvl jump potion(which I'm not really for or against them, personally I'm sort of... neutral about it for now.) But people might want to read the actual interview and not just the first post....

The outline of leveling progression to level 70 is done. The issue however is whether Jump potions will be implemented or not. Otherwise, the pickup point will be the same as 2.5 -> 3.0 (All main scenarios have to be cleared beforehand).
To me even though that last quote says 7:3... there still seems to be a bit of disparity between if this will actually come to fruition or not. Personally it doesn't scream 100% to me, but who knows stranger things have happened from Yoshi lol.Quote:
On next segment, Jumping potions. Yoshida mentions that the ratio of agreement in implementing jump potions are 7:3. If they do implement this, the devs will decide to allow jumping potions only up to a certain level (which is level 60).
I'm assuming you started in 3.0, since it shouldn't really come as a surprise that 4.0 will have a new relic weapon.
When the 3.0 relic was added, players were allowed to turn their finished zodiac weapon (the 2.x relic) in to skip the first step of it (the fate grind step). It's probably safe to assume that the 4.0 relic will see something similar.
You're taking that example way too literally. Yoshi is just saying that if 2.x had roughly 57% of its quests related to the MSQ, then 4.0 will have roughly 71% of its quests related to the MSQ.
Very disappointed that they gave in to the "I want endgame now" crowd..
I just hope they make it like.. $80 and you are lv60 but with weak i145 gear. No side dungeons unlocked and only MSQ to King Thordan.
Eh. Kind of lame. I liked how the Class -> Job System worked. But given they already basically ditched that in 3.0, and are going to further disregard any actual benefits for Classes by making previous "Cross-Class" skills shared between roles in 4.0...Quote:
- They might get rid of classes by 5.0.
Makes me wonder what will become of the old Class and Job questlines come that point. Though if they're adding level jump potions, they'll probably just disregard having to do those entirely, and automatically give you those skills with no input or quests to be required. Which will make the problem of players who don't know a damn thing about playing their job 100x worse. And speaking of...
BOOOOOOOOOOQuote:
- Level jump potions are very likely to be added and will jump to 60.
I started the game like i'd say 1 month before Heavensward. I rushed the ARR storyline in about a month and got to the expansion rather quickly to play endgame with friends that have been playing a year or 2 already. I finished my zeta nerfed the day anima came out. I knew there would be a 4.0 relic but not right away. Don't we still have two steps to go for our anima?
