</argument against every forum complaint ever>

I know right? With a couple sarcastic sentences you've managed to disregard everyone's opinion on the forum. It's amazing.
I always tell people, forums don't accurately represent the player base, because most of the people who spend all day complaining don't spend any time playing.
I remember when folks rallied on KillingIfrit saying that KI was the authority for what players want, even though KI's membership never broke 10% of FFXI's peek player base.
Case in point:
Today KI has 3,479 pages of members with 19 members per page. That's 66,101 members -- even discounting the fact that a lot of those are going to be illegitimate accounts (trolling duplicates, spam, people who changed their online aliases -- even I have two accounts there), that's only barely 10% of the highest recorded FFXI population (that I could find -- which was 650,000).
Forums don't really represent the people playing the game. Not to say they don't represent meaningful opinions and facts about the gaming experience ... but numbers don't really lie -- they'll always be tons more people playing than there are on forums complaining.
If SE corporate wasn't pleased with FFXIV's numbers, I don't think Wada would have shown his face on last Tuesday's webcast.
That's why the devs should work on creating a more filled out early to middle game, instead of trying to rush everyone to end game. It is a problem if the level base is too top heavy, especially this early in the game's life cycle. I'd quote ViolentDjango's post, but it was pretty big. I suggest you read it on pg. 11, he spelled it out better than I ever could.
Greetings everyone!
