It isn't about loot. The OP is looking for group to play together. This is a MMO right? Why is so hard to get people together?
Just remember that the next time you ask for help from anyone. Sorry not all of us have that mercenary attitude.
Apparently I have to spell it out. I am explicitly responding to a single reoccurring idea in threads like these. Stop expanding my meaning. *Oh reawwy? Let's take a walk back in this thread alone. There's plenty more in virtually any thread lamenting endgame and challenging content for years. Oh how ironic the 1st post I see about it is actually yours!
* * *
People hold onto this dumb idea that raiders are out to get them. We're purposefully sabotaging runs and actively funneling people into our gil filled clutches!* Mhuahaha! How dumb and arrogant can people be to think raiders sit around spending their time and energy plotting how to ruin game lives and drive people* to such desperate ends only to profit off their misery? Sorry but you guys aren't that important. Wed rather spend our time fixing our statics and learning new content. But if people would rather scapegoat raiders for their lack of success I can't stop them. But that doesn't make the idea any less idiotic.
... Oh wow. So, the reason you do coil is because of the drops?
OK, you don't *ENJOY* raiding. Some of us do, however.
its really simple... they need to think about how they give out gear again for 3.0
the top raid should drop the highest tier gear (coil) and should have no lockout. This would be for 16 people with really low drop rates. using the current patch it would drop top armor and weapons: i130-35 gear.
There should be a second raid (difficult 8 player content) that drops tomes and 1% chance of gear from chest at end + Poetics and Soldier (i120 gear).
4 man dungeons give only tomes and lower ilvl gear (i90 for example).
24 man raids should only have upgrade items (sands, oils, UATs and the like) and accessories.
This way people have the best of both worlds... they have content that is spread across multiple platforms and can still participate in high end content. people won't be able to gear out in a minute either. no lockouts except on tomes. everyone wins.
I stand by what I said and there is no conspiracy. It is a fact plain as day to see. You have clear sellers taunting people and being proud of it. See:
But I don't why you want to play devils advocate for them. If you want to equate raiders to clear sellers, and get all upset about it. That is your own issue.
BTW here is where you are wrong. NO one said anything about hardcore raiders. The raiders can go ahead and be blind, indifferent, delusional or whatever. The fact remains clear sellers exist and they are in the business to generate gil and in turn possibly RMT. And they will come to these forums and say all sorts of crap and harass people like the OP. If you are not one of them, you don't need to get all lathered up making up conspiracy theories, take your false-indignation and misappropriation of the facts elsewhere.
Man you're so dense. Why did we sell runs after raid time? To fund new i110 pentamelded gear to give us the extra edge in T12, which was worth it since we got it before reset. It comes full circle - the hardcore crafters buy runs and in turn we buy crafted gear. Or in my case, I use the gil to upgrade my own crafts to be 4star capable... which is close to 4mil per right now.
Nice way of basically implying that only those who have few responsibilities outside the game are the ones who are 'dedicated' and 'skilled.' I'm not sure if you meant it or just completely missed how you came off, but it is opprobrious.
Here's the hilarity of this comment: The "casuals" are likely 9/10ths of the total player base. Yet they're treated like less than the raiders.
Sorry, if I wanted a Lineage II drop rate experience, I'd go play Lineage II.
Good gosh I have 1 single solitary simple point and you keep trying to read between the lines.
There are frequently comments on these forums that state plainly or at least imply the following idea/sentiment:
"Experienced players don't join/help my PF/groups because they would rather see me fail and sell me a win later."
To which my response is:
No, we don't join because we have better things to do. Please don't assume our motives are somehow malicious just because we don't spend hrs helping total strangers after grinding for hundreds of hours on that content. We're done with it. That's the extent of my point. Period.
Those making statements like I described don't say "rmts". They talk of experienced players which I (rather reasonably) take to mean raiders who know the fights but do not go back to repeat them. This sentiment is dumb and needs to die. We spent exponentially more time on these without any help so when people demand we go spend even more time to help them it makes them sound like entitled spoiled kids from our perspective.
That is the entirety of my point. I'm not white knight - ing sellers. I'm not playing devils advocate for them. I'm only saying don't blame people that beat content 6 months ago for why your PF doesn't fill. Don't blame them for why your df experience sucks. Don't scapegoat the entirety of the endgame community for your personal lack of success in endgame. We are not the cause in any way shape or form of casuals obstacles in endgame.
