Last time I gave my hot take about the housing system I got timed out for two weeks.
Basically, to sum it up: housing should have stayed for FCs only. If they wanted to add personal housing they should have figured out how to make it instanced or not have added it at all. Now you've got people who feel entitled to a limited resource that they decorate pretty then only pop into it for two seconds of every month to keep it from everyone else.
I was excited for island sanctuary because it was an opportunity for them to introduce something similar to instanced housing. Instead we got something that was mildly entertaining at best for all of two weeks and then everybody dropped it. If our islands had a building you could decorate like housing it would have basically solved one of the longest running issues with the game, but instead they just made it a gathering minigame with time gates.
Hot take!
I never watched a Tom Holland Spider-Man movie.
I gave up on the MCU after the first Avengers because I was too lazy to keep up with it. Don't even think I saw all of the movies that came out before that, either.
I do not see the justification in locking a relic behind an 11-12 hour quest series if you are watching every cutscene from the start. I thankfully did Hilidibrand as it released but my poor relic buddy who never touched it is now going to just skip it to bring it down to a much more manageable 2-3 hours. How is this supposed to incentivize people to watch the content again?
I just think 11-12 hours is a bit much, Ivalice at worst takes like 7 hours for Bozja assuming horrible wait times. I refuse to factor NG+ into the argument as that can be said of anything in the game "Oh you like the story but are pressed on time and want to be at end game, just buy a boost and we can do it later." I again just think it is a bit excessive of a requirement compared to previous requirements.
Im scared raisinless of the new relics. If they look as goofy as the inspector story is, Ill let a tear slowly roll down my cheek.
