Female Hrothgar as a playable race. Show your support!

Not important to the whole Thread about Female Hrothgar.., but it was curious seeing a Pack of Male Hrothgar sitting at the quicksands bar, some 10-20 mins before maintenance, near momodi.

It makes me curious how socially in-game will Female Hrothgar fit in, would there be Packs of Female Hrothgar as well, or mixed Gathering points like in the past in different hubs, like how I'd hear of the males congregating in certain sections(like in limsa, which is the most talked about populated area, that the other areas.)

Since, it would just peak my curiosity. After everyone is nice and settled in.
How do you all feel it would pan out. Player to player interaction wise between Hrothgar players.

Oh you know at the very least, on launch day there will be a TON of Female Hrothgar running around. Some will be new accounts/Characters, or people trying them out with Fantasia.
Maybe a majority of them will be RMT bots though.

And then the Furries...oh man the Furries XD

When they revealed male Viera they also confirmed that female Hrothgar would be coming at some point, and by this point they're likely finished or close to finished already.

They've shown no preview art nor mentioned a time frame for their release, but since "new" races are generally a expansion feature rather than patch content it's likely they'll be revealed in the lead up to the next expansion.

It would be nice if they somehow added one to the MSQ leading into the expac and maybe they will. It was nice to see Fran and Yugiri (even though she was covered) it might give people a bit of hope that they are actually close to being finished. I am looking forward to seeing what they are like and we need the hype train to start ^O^

I think the best measurement would be to look at the comunity now, I would give Roe as example, there are Link Shells that are specifically for them, discord servers and RP venues. I think it would come down to how players want to portray them. Limsa is a good example, at least on my server, there are a lot of sociable people who want to talk along other things like play/listen to music.
I see male Hrothgar in a lot of places including in the world and city states. But some might just want to hang out around their House, apartment or FC house.

I for myself will probably hang out in one of the city states talking to others, if I am not questing. I haven't touced RP yet, but that might be fun too.

I wonder what the racial / starter gear for female Hrothgar will be! I'm hoping for something in between a chiton and a harness~

2. What do you mean by chiton or harness, could you show some examples?

If I had it my way it would be an outfit inspired by either the Queen Gunhildr and her hand maidens or I don't know how they are called but the outfit of the person who decides the fate of gladiators by putting their thumbs up or down. I think that would compliment the males racial gear that looks like a gladiators gear.
Or a popular thing I saw some artists do is put the females in the same gear as the males and it looks really cute, but no race has the same gear for both sexes, so that might be a no go.
In terms of materials I would love a thin cloth with a leater corset and maybe a leather harness as a top in the same style as the Hylander's camise with fingerless gloves that wrap atound the middle fingers base and give claws, as for the shoes either some sandals with gold or silver accents or bare feet with a soft ankle bracelet probably gold or silver.

Actually I got really indpired, might draw something when I get home! :3

We don't know that. We know nothing, actually. They haven't announced anything other than "They'll come out at a later date". We don't even know if it's gonna come out on 7.0, we're just hopefully assuming they will.

If there are Female Hrothgar bots, at least we know they went all in on all the expacs rather than just to be there to pop ads.., but I feel like they'll be eternal lalas in order to be smaller to find out of bounds.., Ridiculous and all that.

Yeah, we have quite a couple of Chitons already. Most notably, recently, was it one of the Classical or Early Crafted Gear?

Quite many styles to make.

TBH I'm still stuck on that art that Midare eloquently put it, as being very Amano-esque. But that's just me.

I would like it a lot if the shoes would give the illusion of digitigrades if they did that I would always wear/glam them!

What would the foot wear be like, would we get some Hrothgar Glad-Like Sandals+heel<clawed or armored>. or would it be a Decorative/Stylish Heel with a Wrapping/Cloth Style.

Kinda feels like it would largely depend on the general Race outfit.
Regardless of the coverage or material.

We could go on about More Martial Leaning Vs More Drapped regal Leaning outfit.

Though both easily can have metal on the foot wear depending if the Race Gear has Metal Accents or not.

Regardless of the material, I am hoping for either gold or silver decorum for the footwear. Something to show prestige, elegance and taste.

My *personal* mental image of this race's females is akin to a feline huntress. Stealthy, waiting and striking from the shadows. A true assassin killer. So something akin to assassin sandals with small adornments and chains would be pretty cool. Then again, I would actually love the female Ronso outfit as starting gear with footwear mimicking the Ronso feet.

Considering the males have a gladiator esque outfit, and both genders tend to match the theme, it wouldn't surprise me female Hroths have a more....Wonder Woman looking attire, for lack of a better word - something that shows you she's a warrior, but adorned in a way to let you know she's a warrior princess queen

+ here! Personally I also began to think of a new interior for my house. Have been interested in this for long time, and wanted to create something in bozjan style... perhaps with mechanical elements, since I adore gnb, and already connected my hroth oc with this job. Armory workshop, perhaps :)

I love the Khajiit from the Elder Scrolls and I'm not the biggest fan of how crazy buff the male Wrothgar are, so yeah, I'm really looking forward to them adding Lady Wrothgar; I've been hoping to make one my 3rd alt character when they finally come around.

I just hope they don't have as extreme gender differences as the Au Ra, I'd really love for the women Wrothgar to still be quite big and strong looking, to differentiate them more from the Miqo'te and Viera.

I think this time they should wait until they're able to give us a race that's actually completed and doesn't have problems with lacking animations/hats/hair.
I don't want a repeat of viera/male viera.

Okay, I will be honest here.
1. I don't use hats, the ones that I use are already available for Hrothgar and Viera
2. Some animations are indeed in need of a rework like the auto attack for MCH, if you look at how that spine snaps from normal to hunch is very jarring.
3. No. Just no! I do not want to wait another God knows how many years just to play the race/gender that I want. They can fix this after, it would not be fair to leave female Hrothgar in the dust while everyone else can play with their bunnies both males and females.
4. A majority of the hairstyles have already been added and they continue to add them with every patch. I don't like the speed, but that doesn't mean they didn't deliver.

So no, they should add them. It has been almost 4 years since they released this races and the only race I am interested in this game keeps being put back on the back burner. I want to play my tall female Lion with a long fluffy tail. I am not about to continue supporting this game if they would pull that kind of bull. They did it once with releasing only 1 of the 2 missing genders. If they do it again, they should not count on me sticking around. Yoshi said he would like to keep 14 running for another 10 years. For me, any year that doesn't add them it's a wasted year. Instead of having fun with the rest for 10 years of this game, I will have to be stuck in waiting limbo for the race/gender I want to play. So just no.

Not to mention that the longer they delay, the worse it'd get to update, unless they pull another "ohh we DidN't KnOw you wanted this" bs, which could easily be the final nail in the coffin for many.

TBH, it kinda has already did happen, some of people who would frequent this thread have decided to take a break and return to the shadows for now..,(at least I assume they did, if not completely retired from adventuring)

But that said, many have been rendered into the wait and see case.

For better or worse, they've Cooked long enough, and if they don't/do good/bad enough.
It'll be one new meme those that like to make jokes of the game to use.(Since it would come off as Something They wanted to do, yet failed. Which would the affect their ideal of Sticking to what their playerbase desires. Which includes this community.)

[Tbh, the more the topic comes out, about waiting for perfection-which is already hard to reach/do- Or Hope For a Decent Foundation to release and be built on. <Which anyone could honestly use that foundation like comparing 1.0 to 2.0> Which is just an exercise in Draining your mind/enthusiasm/passion/fire thin. Which I clearly saw from one of the people who frequented here many months past.]

TLDR, So much going on at SE atm, in what I call a "Transitioning Period" for the game, that will Honestly dictate how well the game will fare for at least the next few years(if not more). Female Hrothgar are just one piece that if done wrong enough. Will leave a deep impression<of your preferred type here> on the player base. Even if we aren't talked about ever again.

But If they do well enough and we see a promising future. The Pessimistic will have a hard time dealing with all the positive dynamis surplus in the place.

Regardless, I just hope it's enough to please the target audience, and works as intended. So we have <less/hardly any> struggles trying to fix mistakes later.

I had a very weird dream today. I dreamed that I was at the fan fest, it was the opening of the show and the devs were coming to the stage, I could notice that Yoshi was wearing a T-shirt with that old Disney movie: "The Cheetah girls". I asked out loud if this meant that they were going to show Female Hrothgar by the end.
Well it did, they showed the new job (a caster that controlled crystals) and then they showed a trailer of them. They looked like a combination of the Queen from the art book and that art drawn by one of FFXIV artists. While it was not exactley what I wanted, I really liked the result. I will try to make a fan art depiction of what I saw.
Just to clarify: the body was exactley like that of the queen in the artbook and the head was just like the art (the white queen lioness one). And yes, ankle lenght tails!
I think this image really tempered my expectations. And showed me that I am way more open that I liked to think.

The Hrothgar Community has already had to wait 4 years, why should they wait longer, to 'potentially' fix something they still haven't and may never fully fix? Screw that noise.
As Sista Pip said below, the speed of it isn't great, but we have been getting more hair options. And They can keep working and making more as they go. Who knows, they may have quite alot of options at the start, if they have been working on FemHroths with this Big Update.

And I agree with Sista Pip as well, I dont really use Hats either, but the ones I do use, we are able to use. I honestly am Happy with Masks and Specs, and there are some Fully Head coverings that I enjoy. So Im good to go.
But, here is to hoping they either: Make different versions of headgear that will fit the Hrothgar head, just unlock/enable some of the head that has NO EXCUSE not to work, and/or make some unique Lv1 headgear sold in the General store to make up for lost options and style. And make them dye-able.

Honestly, curvy is exactly what we need more of. They're likely to have a Femroe skeleton but I'm crossing my fingers their bust-waist-hip ratio is less....flat. Give them girls those male Au Ra hips please.

Would be ideal, and from my point there are almost no things that would look bad on them. My main critique of this is that the ears are way too far back... also the face is a bit small(?).
