Sell Fantasia on the Mogstation

Still phial-less at 36 days and counting....

So, yeah; hopefully this answers the question for anyone questioning the validity of the "first-come, first serve" canned response. While I'm truly happy for them, there are people in this thread that have gotten their phial restored that filed their requests THIS MONTH, while many of us are still waiting from December, and appear no closer to getting ours than the day we created the ticket. Awesome customer service.

What makes this all the more unsatisfactory is that we are paying the same monthly subscription we would pay for other games with better customer service. The GMs for a certain game starting with "W", even during its enormously high sub count peak, could restore entire characters within a week; those characters could have been gone for nearly a year or more. I have also received the same level of service from multiple other MMOs, some of them completely or partially f2p. This is the first MMO I've played to have such comparatively appalling service. It is not acceptable for us to be paying the same for less.

I really hope we receive more information in the upcoming letter... and I REALLY hope we get this before 2.2, because that's months away.

That's like saying "No, you can't buy a new car.. because I'm used to you driving that crappy one.."

Changing someones appearance is perfectly fine unless you're a die-hard role player that wants to recognize people based on their race, and even that... you can't force someone to stay that way just to please your immersion, which is why I fully disagree with HurtigeKarl.

Why should someones role playing agenda affect how I play the game? unless they are paying my sub, I should be free to do whatever I please in terms of my characters appearance.

You don't have to be a die-hard role-player to enjoy the consistency of the lore and the world around you. I personally liked the consistency of everyone staying the same, but at the same time I don't mind if they switch* its something I get used to over time as I made very clear in my last point.

No-one is forcing anyone to do anything, don't make a mountain out of a mole-hill. You've taken what someone has posted as their opinion (even if the tone may come across as aggressive) as base-fact. You have the ability to change your appearance with an optional service coming in the near future, this shouldn't tickle your sensitivity anywhere near this much.


You also may have misconstrued my original point, I'm not against adding and or the use of Phials of Fantasia at all, I can just understand their point-of-view on it too instead of shoving my own opinion down as the most important thing in the world.


People could argue this back and forth for years, but the decision was already made when they were made available originally. That however doesn't mean he can't provide his opinion on it.

I'm simply making the point that the change does affect the people around you and saying otherwise is simply silly, but even with that being said no-one is forcing a "YOU CANT DO THIS" on you, they can say they don't like it but it's already been done.



*I used my original appearance change plus two Fantasias so far and it only proved my point further, in that every time I changed people were confused, shocked, annoyed or happy with the change.

I honestly just wish they'd say SOMETHING about when to expect this and the name change service. This is obviously a pretty popular feature that has been requested many times, and with no updates and no implementation in sight, it is making me a bit critical of their speed in which they add things to the game.
