I have Verizon Fios in NYC as well. Same problems. The game is unplayable for me and my FC can't progress in anything right now.
Getting the same on Charter in the Atlanta area. Had bits of it over the last few days, but tonight it's abruptly unplayable. 5-10 second freezes, rubber banding back.
Lot of timeout on a tracert to the NA datacenter. :|
Moogle here... got it after entering duty finder
Balmung here. It's taking me about 10-15 seconds to even open the gathering window.
Just happened to me this evening, I logged on and got Error 90000 and now I have constant lag with nothing I can do about it.
I am on mumble with friends with no lag problems what so ever and this is the first time I have ever seen this happen.
Doing any Duty Finder dungeons is impossible for me at the moment because I will not be able to heal properly or dodge mechanics.
Yep. The lag i'm experiencing tonight is AIDS.
Same issue as others, on Verizon Fios east coast US. Other online games play fine, have low ping etc. Seems to be worse in dutyfinder, but maybe it's just more easily noticed there. Game is virtually unplayable.
Just started for me tonight U-Verse SCal
I am also having this where the game freezes then speeds up real fast then freezes then speeds up over and over again. No help from ISP. Reset modem, turned down graphics even though I can play with them a lot higher, many game logouts and restarts. I even tried hooking up a different modem.
Nothing I do is helping. This just started happening in the last few days for me.
Century Link ISP SW Ohio
Since the maintenance done on Thursday I've had lag spikes for 2-3 seconds.
I've contacted my ISP to take see if there are any problems/package loss.
Next to that I ran checks on my computer to see if there is anything not working correctly there.
ISP: Ziggo
Speed: 160Mb/s cable
Ping in their network: 7
Ping ARR server: 90
Latency in game: 110-150
From what they saw there where no problems from me to the server.
There is no down load throttling either or signal jam.
In other words the problem is SE their servers in my case.
From my side/ISP side it isn't fixable.
I have the same problem ever 10/20 seconds everything lags for 1/2 seconds, i also
experince heavy lag on gathering interface (3-4 seconds) O have this problems only
with FFXIV i play several other games (EvE, Planetside 2,Firefall) and they works fine.
Location: Italy
ISP: Fastweb
I really hope SE is looking into this. It's to the point where any progression I'd like to make with friends is largely just a roll of the dice with abilities like "Plumes" on Titan if they are used/coincide with the very frequent 1-2 second heavy desyncs/packet loss or worse the less frequent 5-10 sec drops. If SE isn't actively communicating and working on solutions in regards to this subject which is affecting large masses of their game population, then I don't see a purpose for me subbing to the game, as Raid PvE Progression with friends was my reason for wanting to pick up the game.
I play from Southern California, ISP provider is Cox. I do not have any issues with any other games. Cox does not throttle bandwidth; I've run multiple tests to ensure this.
5-10 seconds of no updates to client every few minutes; frequent 1-2 second delays with desync.
This leads to really odd things happening: dot timers will literally change amount of seconds up and down; will use an on GCD ability and and off GCD abilty without the game giving me a clue that either have registered till a second later when they both register at the same time along with other players abilites used within the 1-2 second frequent desyncs; I've had Titan's plumes spawn on everyone, then ~.75 seconds later, a seperate plume spawns under me; once I competely derped a Plume and accidently used Wind bite (locking my movement into that direction for the animation) which put me back clearly into the Plume (after already being out) yet I didn't get hit (probably the 1-2 sec random packet loss/desync, client not being able to update/communicate with server that I messed up and was actually back in the Plume); there are Plumes that I tested where I would never stop running straight (in anticipation) of the Plumes being spawned and still get hit while clearly 5 feet outside of the Plume.
This is also effecting another member of our guild who has the same experience with frequent 1-2 scond spikes and occasional 5-10 second cuts, he is also using Cox Communications as a provider.
country: italy
server: moogle
provider: fastweb
problem:
lag: from 2500 to 5000
lagspike: 1 or 2 sec random freeze often
solution: put Europe server in europe, not in NA, evey Europe player got big lag cause europe server are in na. I am rly soon to quit the game as most europe player
Was doing a lot better until after maintenance tonight. The Duty Finder is brutal.
Experiencing same thing as well. Rubber-band issues and R0 every single day playing.
Past 3 days after about 8-9PM EST I've experienced the same thing. When it's happening: every 30-60 seconds or so lag spike = DCing icon then its back 5 seconds later
Cablevision outside of NYC
Having this issue as well, both yesterday night and today. As mentioned, it appears to get much worse in instances. I attempted to run Wanderer's Palace today, and was very frequently experiencing freezes followed by everything fast forwarding to catch up. I had zero problems during the day, it only seems to happen at night around 8-10pm EST.
I'm on Behemoth. Location is Ohio, provider is Cincinnati Bell.
I hope this can get fixed soon, I want to be able to run instances and not bring my party down because of something I personally cannot control.
Thanks, and keep up the hard work SE! :)
I have this issue as well, on Behemoth. Lag spikes where nothing happens than it all catches up. I use Comcast and had a tech out and he found nothing so tonight I fired up SWTOR and GW2 and played both tp test it and had no issues in either game, just FFXIV
yep, still an issue. please tell us you are looking into this SE.
Hello, still experiencing this as well, lagspikes and disconnection error 90000. I use Wavebroadband.
I've been experiencing this issue all day, ever since I woke up after the maintenance. Super bad lag every time I log in and it always ends up disconnecting me within 10 minutes.
Botany has become even more tedious!
I use the same as well. And I just had them come out and check my internet connection. I can't even play the way the server is atm. Soo frustrating.

Hate to break it to you, SE...it's far from fixed!
Wave Broadband in Washington here, the game is totally unusable as of this morning. If I can connect there is major lag, and within a minute or two I get Connection with the server was lost. 90000
Have not had any issues prior with actual connection to the game other than the congestion that occurred on release day. Please fix :)
Yay! Another Wa. person feeling my pain. :( SE, help us!
This is unacceptable. SE fix your shit.
I took the day off work to be able to play with my friends....Now Im out 12 bucks an hour sitting here waiting for my game to work. I should get a free month for this debacle to re-coup my lost wages
well now its returned to the dreaded 3102 after it lags you to zero and 90000's yippy kay yay! they fix it NOT!
Wave Broadband as well in WA state. Unplayable all day.
Ever since last night I too have been getting the error 9000 disconnect randomly. It seems to be more frequent and annoying. I hope they fix this soon. I'm in Indiana, USA, and my IP is Comcast. if that matters.
Hello, I called Wavebroadband a few moments ago, and did not get much help. Was told things seemed to be fine on their end, they are not quite sure why I am having problems staying connected with FF.
I mentioned how other Wave customers here posted but the guy pointed out that it could just be coincidence that we are all running into the issue. Not sure what we could do, perhaps wait to see if SE will mention anything.
It's not fixed.
I get logged on only for 10 to 15 seconds before getting error 90000 or some other error please SE tell us something getting frustrated here :/
Its not an internet connection problem. Im from Australia been having the same problem all morning
Unplayable for me tonight on Gilgamesh. Rubberbanding like mad.
Nothing like not being able to play on the 2 days a week I get off. If it stays like this till tomorrow without square enix even addressing it with a message. I will not be subscribing to this game another month, I feel I've given it enough chances and square enix has done nothing to make me have any faith in their ability to successfully run an MMO. In fact this game has tarnished their name for me in general.
I quit playing for almost a week because of the frustration of not being able to do any group related stuff or end-game, and when I finally log in, everything's rubber-banding like crazy.
Really? Has there been an official response to this?
Yeah, its rather annoying. Been having this problem for most of the day.
Having issues since 5 AM.. not playable at all. it's a problem between SE and Telstra...
I tried to tether and play off Optus 3G personal hotspot from my iphone.. it was smooth no lag delay at all. I'm thinking about calling telstra but we all know how useless they are.
